One of the best ps4 games, to me, $18 a great deal.

      Digital copy was free for PS Plus back in March. Still in my pile of shame. Not a easy game though (probably because I am lousy gamer).

      Physical copy is just the base game and not the Game of the Year version, from what I could see.

    Very hard game but one of the best gaming experiences of my life. This was the first game I ever played on a PS4. Didn't even know to use the controller properly haha.

    PS: I too agree that this game deserves a physical copy.

    The best game I've ever played on PS4, across the entire platform of this generation. Not Uncharted 4, not Dark Souls 3, not Witcher 3, the crown goes to Bloodborne.

        Hard to compare to GOW, but bloodborne is my favourite PS4 game and I had never played dark souls before. You gotta make sure you play up to at least the bloodstarved beast. I found the first couple hours really difficult as I didn't really know what was going on, but the game really clicked for me once I hit Old Yarnham.

        You really can’t compare the two. GoW is an amazing experience but you’re guided throughout to what you should be doing next, controls etc. BB throws you in to a nightmarish landscape and more or less tell you to figure it out yourself. It’s an open-ish world, and the order you go to certain places and fight certain bosses can be totally different from someone else. A lot of trial and error. It’s not for everyone but if you can get past the difficult beginning it’s absolutely brilliant and so so rewarding. Look up a few reviews and see if it’s your cup of tea. There’s also a ton of great guides to help you with class set ups and how to tackle the game.

        As I said above, my favourite PS4 game and easily in my alltime top 10. One of my proudest Platinums too 😉 There’s not much else like it out there.

    Buy this game people. The only bad part about Bloodborne is there is no Bloodborne 2 (yet).

    The base game was given away on PS+ a while back so check that you don't already have it before buying this as the DLC often goes on sale and has been as low as $8.95 saving you $9 over this deal! Take note that you won't be able to play it if your subscription expires though.

    Is there an easy mode? I found Dark Souls 3 very difficult so probably going to die too much in this one too?

      No easy mode, so yes you will die a lot in this game for sure. That's part of the allure though, the difficulty is such that in order to proceed you need to actually get good at the game, which creates a feeling of immense satisfaction and achievement as you go through. Some games are just difficult because they add more enemies or make them do more damage or give you a bullet hell etc, not the case with these games. But it's not for everyone, and it's not the kind of game you can casually play for 30 mins every few days. There's a video on youtube (called something like 'how I almost dropped my game of the year) where an IGN reviewer talked about how he struggled so much and decided that it wasn't worth it, but decided to go back and eventually found his feet, and it turned out to be his favourite game of the year and one of his favourites of all time.
