Pity. Kleenex used to be so good.

      This one is good

      • +6

        I think it's awful.

        • +2

My butt and I like it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

        • +1

Without going into detail, what's awful about it. Is it thin, too weak, not enough grip, sandpapery?

          • +9

@[Deactivated]: Breaks easily when you wipe your bum. One of the worse tp I've used.

            • +4

@Omitsukasa: Agree, this is shit product. Rips way to easily. All toilet paper needs to be 3ply to be good

            • +1

@Omitsukasa: Thanks you saved me a headache, I was thinking of stocking up. Will stick with sorbent.

          • +2

@[Deactivated]: Yep, all of the above. Too thin, too weak, and not enough grip. It is soft-ish, but it's so thin that you need loads to benefit from that, anyway.

I bought Kleenex for years until they came out with the 'Cottonelle' version. I tried some again a while ago when Amazon had it cheap, because it looked like it had changed since the last time I tried it. It had changed, but was still just as rubbish. Back to Quilton.

Someone at Kleenex marketing had a brainstorm - why not package smaller, single ply with premium branding and pricing - surely nobody would notice?

  • Seems to be unavailable online.

  • My local foodland has the 45-pack for $17 (Amazon sells it for $19 as their usual price), which is about 37c/roll.

    • Amazon 2*60 pack =$50 - 20% for spending $50 on essentials = $40 + cashback
.. Brings the price down to under all of these but means buying in bulk

      • Can you link to the 2x 60 pack for $50 pls

@doweyy: Thanks that is a good deal being, plus Free delivery and free amazon boxes

          • @doweyy: Thanks mate, ordered $80 for 240 rolls + 5% cashback from Cashrewards (-$4).
Total of $76 for 240 Rolls
or $9.50 for 30 Rolls making it 50 cents cheaper than this deal.

        Combine with this deal

brings the price down to 25 cents per roll and minus 2.5% from shopback on top.

  • Thanks. Got 3

Just use water…. Cheaper and easier.

    • As an Italian bidet lover, still prefer to wipe first with quilton to get rid of most bits, before rinsing on the fountain of freshness.

      • non-Italian bidet lover here. Quilton first and last. Warm water in between.

  • just paid $4.95 for 45 rolls of toilet paper = 11 cents per roll - thanks to this deal

could have gotten 36 rolls for free - but I have some scruples.

  • +8

Can you guys please stop counting the price per roll?
I think it is more accurate to count per sheet as the roll can contain any number of sheets it wants.

    • +1

The cost per 100 sheets is in the title..

      • +4

Yes, OP did a good job, I was referring to other comments.

      • +1

so I have to read 2 things to get all the information!!!!!!

    • +1

Price per roll is a crap way to do it.

  • +3

Do these still crumble in your hands when you’re wiping your butt?

    • +7

      Yes, they’re terrible.

      • +2

was going to say, I have these and I wish i didn't. Going back to quilton.

    • +1

      No

    • Depends, is your butt made of sand paper?

  • the bigw 45 rolls pack has the "extra thick sheet" writing on it. i wonder if there is any difference to this special.

edit: never mind, this one has it too. it is just covered on the website by the "special" icon. i am going tomorrow. thx

  • complete clean

    Have they clinically tested this?

  • +1

Quilton 3ply triple length or nothing. Can’t be arsed to change single roll toilet rolls constantly.

    • +2

The Aldi 3 ply is pretty similar.

    • +2

The woolies one is okay too. Emporia it’s called.

  • +1

This TP isn't what it used to be. It's obviously thinner and weaker and gets left behind

  • Kleenex Cottonelle was remarkable.
The moment they stopped that was the moment my business stopped with them.

  • As long as you dont buy the air weave crap, kleenex is fine. Th air weave toilet paper rips really easily so I never touch that stuff. I'm a folder and I usually use 2 to 3 sheets per wipe and even with 4 sheets, the airweave 3plys will rip faster than some 2plys

      TMI.

  • Really wish Cushelle would start selling in Australia. Nothing on the market here comes close.

  • I just checked online. The deal is still available.

    • The deal is still available at the time of this message and cheaper, it’s $8(not $10)
