Cheaper subscriptions Via VPN?

I am currently subscribing to Netflix, NBA and Youtube Music subs via VPN from the deals found on this site and just wondering if there are any other bargains to be found using a VPN

edit: I'm not looking for one-off deals on some game etc, or things that require VPN to be used, so many of the cheap Indian deals seem out.

  • Thousands of options, but you have to be more specific.

Well I searched this forum and found the few I mentioned, along with maybe some PSN or Xbox ones that don't interest me.

Could you maybe provide a few hundred of the thousands you know of?

  • Spotify is another which you can get through cheaper countries

    • cheers, didnt know about spotify, will let some friends know

  • I've heard Microsoft Office if you have a matching address to the VPN country - I didn't want to set up a new account so haven't tried it, and just keep an eye out on Office key bargains on here.

If you want a paid antivirus, some do as well. I think Bitdefender could be one?

Go through anything you're subscribed to and give it a go.

    • Office365 might be cool, depending on the cost, as it still come with 1tb onedrive yeh?

Cloud storage is one thing I've wanted, but I don't think that's as 'infinitely' scaleable as media/software subs, so not something they can provide cheaper to poorer countries, but I could be wrong.

I'm not really subscribed to much, I already had Netflix so used VPN to save $$ there, and imo NBA/YTMusic are just not worth it at the normal prices. So that's why I'm trying to see what other bargains people are getting that might make me reconsider paying for something (probably wont be an antivirus… lol)

      • Yep, Office 365 includes 1Tb of storage per user, and the Office 365 Home includes up to 5 user accounts.

From memory, it was about $60-70 per year for Office 365 Home using a South American country like Mexico or Argentina, but I couldn't be bothered in the end as there's deals on here around $80-90 per year, and also we already have 3 users on my account, so that would have been 3 separate accounts to get off the cloud, get new sign ups, and the put back on (and at the time we only had ADSL too). So it's probably a better deal for starting from scratch.

The cloud storage is definitely handy. I have my phone, personal computer, and work computer all linked to my account, so files on there are easily shared between devices. I have it backing up my photos too in case I accidentally wreck my phone - a lesson I learnt the hard way in the Great Phone Wash of 2014 when I lost fresh newborn photos of my daughter… Also my work account is the same too, so handy for when I'm working out of the office and can't be bothered remoting into my work PC.

And office online means you can share files with people who don't have 365 and they can work from a limited version of Word/Excel/etc. on their web browser. Like I converted a family member's CV from Open Office to Office 365 to get rid of compatibility issues, and then shared it with them from my account so they can continue to edit it online without needing to own Office. And at work, we've even done shared proposals at work where multiple people can work on the same document and it regularly syncs across our PCs.

Or even OneNote - I have shared notebooks between my husband and I, such as a few hundred recipes (so he can easily find the recipe I've bought food for to start tea when I'm stuck at work), shopping lists so whoever happens to have time can pop into the shops with the full list, and for travelling - packing lists. While frantically finishing off packing for the family before a flight, at the same time we can tick different items off the packing list from each of our mobiles and it syncs between the devices as we do it, so we know we aren't missing anything or wasting time doubling up.

So I've definitely found it handy in a number of ways.

  • Am recently in the market for something like this for my Australian Netflix Account and wondering which VPN is best to use to access the US Netflix and if it works for multiple devices even maybe.

    • Express is best with netflix but bit expensive. You can try PIA with netflix might be little slow but work fine.
