  • So does that mean no more unlimited internet on 4G (even if it was only 12Mb/s)? Or does Optus have a similar plan?

    • looks like you will keep it, but don't cancel as i doubt you could get the unlimited back again as after the switch as you will be limited by Optus's offerings which i don't see them offering Unlimited on 4G.

      • Why wouldn’t Optus offer unlimited 4G? Telstra already does.

        • They don't, go and check their website max is 100GB data for mobile broadband.

    • +1

I think it stays the same from:

To make the process as simple as possible, you will continue using your existing modem and will receive the same data allowance from Optus, at the same price you are currently paying with us.

Also thanks for the heads up OP because reading further down it states:

If you wish to continue to pay via direct debit, you will need to provide your direct debit details to Optus via Optus MyAccount after your service is transferred.

      And later it says:

With Vividwireless, your service would be automatically suspended if you didn't pay your bill. With Optus if you do not pay your bill by the due date, you will be charged a late payment fee of $15 (no GST is payable) but your service will not be automatically suspended, and you may continue to incur charges and be managed through Optus' credit management process.

Sounds like theres going to be quite a few people thats going to get caught out thinking the payment will continue only to get caught out with a fee.

  • Seems there is also another issue related to IP address.
Optus only offers private IP for this service you ended up with double NAT…
