This vs Telstra tv? Because I’ll get a free TTV from nbn deal.

    • Higher spec than the Telstra TV 2 and also play games.
The good news is since September the latest Plex client has been available via the Telstra APP store, so no need to sideload the old rubbish classic Plex Client.
Brought Fresh new life to the Telstra TV's.

    • Sell the ttv and get this.. I have both… This device is really that good.

    • The shield is the only device I've found that can direct play PGS subtitles + 4k HDR from plex

  • I have ordered one after disappointed by Hisense software interface errors all the time. Now after hooking up shield it works like fast computer. No lag, and love the voice commands by Google assistant

  • I was thinking about getting one of these just this morning for emulation, but figured "eh, I already have a Wii U loaded with my GCN games and everything earlier I still have proper hardware for anyway" but I do have like 400 bucks of EB credit to burn through, and I love the idea of this thing… but nah, they won't be on sale any time soon, Black Friday was just a week or so back, I'll wait.

    logs on to see this

    Well shit.

  • Sorry dumb question, what is this unit use for is it for gaming or watching movies

  • Any chance anyone has a spare Australian Plug head adaptor for it ?? Have had mine for years and absolutely love it, would just love to get rid of the US to AUS power adaptor …. Or anyone know what the name of the actual power plug the Shield uses is called so I can get a new aussie one? Cheers

  • Shield is great, I'm just using an Asus controller and it works fine (no force-feedback). My only gripe is that the Netflix app doesn't offer me hdr yet my Sony Android TV Netflix app does.

  • I bought one of these on Black Friday sales. Very disappointed. Just once for about 5 minutes could my PC see it and therefore the attached USB drive that I wanted to put media on. 5 hours on chat with NVIDIA support tech and case raised and still pending. If only WD hadn't left this market

  • Ebgames is in ebays "Approved Online Retail Websites" if it suits anyone to buy this on ebay and have them give you an ebay voucher for the price difference + 5%. I made the mistake of using a 10% off coupon when i bought it on ebay which meant the price difference was less, so the 5% price beat portion was not as much as i could have gotten.I bought it through ebay from computer alliance for ~$300 after 10% discount then immediately spoke to ebay customer service via chat and they organised a $60.50 price beat voucher for me.If i hadn't used the 10% coupon i would have gotten a bigger price beat voucher. The voucher is only valid for a month but i use ebay a lot so it's ok for me. https://pages2.ebay.com.au/Best_Price_Guarantee sold out

  • Back to $330 as of yesterday
