Catch.com.au Marketplace Direct Import GST

Thinking of a mobile off catch.com.au marketplace. It's via direct import from techwarehouse. Just wondering if anyone knows if there's an invoice attached with ABN so can claim TRS ?

    Not sure about tax being shown on their invoice but beware… a lot of their phones in their Xiaomi range are CN versions, not factory global units.
    The lack of details in their phone listings is not an oversight……..

      This is what I'm looking at and it says it's global version. Then again they can easily put on a global rom

        … and many are doing that now so best to get them to clearly confirm what it is.

        Ask them to supply the EAN number for the phone they are selling. That is one way to be sure. Phones intended for the CN market usually have a different one.

        Catch are only a shopfront for the real seller so getting a positive answer from them may be difficult.
        I enquired with them about a particular Xiaomi phone recently and their reply was based on the very limited detail given on their site, they did not confirm with the seller. In that reply they said it was an international version, not an Australian version.. :-( but there is no such thing as either of them…

        The only two versions of Xiaomi phones are factory sealed global units and CN versions which have vendor reflashed roms and most often a different set of network bands. Officially there is no such thing as an international or Australian version.

          Yea, whats the downside of having a CN version anyway?

        I will be buying the same phone also once the 10% off Catch gift cards go on sale at the Post Office from the 21 January.

        I just spoke on the phone to Catch and they contacted the seller TechinSEA and this is the email reply and they have provided a EAN Number:

        I just bought the same item Xiaomi A2 4GB/64GB from Catch.com. After I received it I can tell you that I have checked the authenticity on the Xiaomi website and is the Official Intenational Version. They also supplied the EAN number prior of my purchase after I asked them.Very happy with the service and the shipping time.
