Nice, and Stella at $30 in Melbourne… :P

    • Are stella's today's coupon??

      • +1

Yes, scroll down a bit… Lazy me. Good to see Dan Murphy's rep posting.

        • I aren't see any stella coupon for $30 besides getting DM to pricematch GWD. My DM is over 20km away from GWD so I'm not going to bother unless it is on specials at DM for $30…

  • Any better deal for 6 stubbies/cans of beers under 10 AUD in SYD?

      Aldi ?

      • Aldi not an option here in Syd for beers :(

    why SA pay more?
    $2 extra for JAMES BOAG’S

    stop being racist! :(

    • +5

      why SA pay more?

does it matter ? you all drink Coopers anyway…

(maybe it's the bottle deposits ????)

      • yes, can't stick with 1 all the time

        • +9

i guess you do need to drown your sorrows after the footy each weekend… :P

        • lol can't expect much from a young team

      • so other beers/wines come in plastic bottles?

    • It's actually discrimination, not racist. How can you be geographically racist? What a goose lolol

South Australians are a different race…

        I know, i lived there for a year…

        • +3

          some are a different species……

    • +3

We pay more because we have the bottle recycling deposit..(24 bottles x 10c each)
So assuming you refund your bottles we're actually paying less!
      Effectively $39.50.

  • +4

The reason South Australians get charged more is indeed because of the 10c deposit per can/bottle. Its the same with soft drink, usually our 24pk coke is $2-$3 more expensive. If you are from SA how can you not realise that?! Hardly worth a neg…..

    (+) for James Boag's

  • Remember guys, you can't get drunk off Moscato (easily.)

      Challenge accepted

    • Too true. More likely to get diabetes first.

Nice summer breakfast wine tho' (served with fruit).

Reminds me of the time I shocked a Canberra wine merchant (non-too familiar with his stock) when I pointed out that he probably should take care selling verjuice to people looking to buy wine. Sure, you CAN drink it, but you'll most likely drown before you get any 'lift' from the (absent) alcohol. You should have seen the look on his face…

    • It goes to your head and makes you tipsy but, yeah, not real easy to get drunk on. It's the only wine I like though. So sweet. So going to buy some at this price. :D

  • Other than Church Block, are these prices really that good?

  • will dan murphys price match getwinesdirect stella special, 29.99, in WA?

So how's eristoff vodka? Compared to smirnoff?

    • vodka is vodka, mate.
the only thing is that you sgould care is that it is done using proper technological process. in other words keep away from fake. but I do not think that any booze stores in Oz sell fake vodka. they would just not take a risk to loose their licence.
ps but Absolute (Finnish) vodka (esp. cranberry one) is the best.

      • +1

I disagree that vodka is vodka. The distilation process and choice of ingedients make a big difference in taste and smoothness.

If you drink vodka in quite a pure form, e.g. In a vodka martini, you WILL taste the difference.

If you are just mixing it, e.g. With a soft drink, it will matter less.

        • +2

          paint thinner is paint thinner

        • I reckon I know what you mean. That's why I referred to the Finnish/Swedesh vodkas as best ones.
btw I am just back from DM. Eristoff is made in France. I have not tried it yet ;) but I do not think it is going to be worse than Smirnoff.

        • i prefer either grey goose, chopin or 42 below

  • Whats the regular price on a case of boags?

    • $54.99 in LiquorLand (SA).

  • Dan's has been beaten on Crown Lager and Wirra Wirra by 1st Choice in today's Age.
