    Officeworks price match

    • Do they price match grey imports??

      • Yes they do. Only if the URL ends with .au and it's an identical item.

        • But this URL doesn't end with .au.

It's au.com. I suppose no price match then.

I've successfully pricematched a phone (Motorola Moto G6 Plus) from TobyDeals at Officeworks.

Wow… Thanks for letting me know. I will try my luck today then.

          • @Austin 316: Is OW stock this model?

            • @hi8havp: No. I just realized that when I tried searching on their website. So the price match wouldn't work anyways . Sigh…

@Austin 316: OW has this watch (online only) but they denied price match because its a hongkong website who don't have a ABN. I was at a store today. Anyone else tried?

    • Hmm not on their site that I can find, though they have the frontier version.

  • What’s the difference between this Galaxy watch and the Gear S3 watch ?

    • This is the latest generation of Samsung Smart watch and their current flag ship. This is the BT version not the cellular more info here. This watch is much better than gear S3 and definitely worth the extra$100 especially if you can price match it at Officeworks.

    • Gear S3 is older…though if you are on a budget its (realistically) not to different to the Galaxy Watch. the improvements were very minor imo as a Gear S3 owner (for a couple years now) who was previously looking to upgrade.

If you are considering this one, see if your local OW will price beat…otherwise get the Gear S3 at OW price beat HN. Local warranty is everything. These things are on your wrist so are way more vulnerable than the phone in your pocket…my thoughts anyway.

single reason I choose this over S3, you can swim with it. I have Fitbit and going to purchase one. Unfortunately grey import no Samsung pay available in Australia I believe!
Myself is struggling to choose this or wait for local stock gets cheaper.

      • Have you been able to confirm lack of Samsung pay for grey imports? I can't find anything online except that it "might" not work… Would be great to know for sure!

  • Will this Galaxy Watch work with other brand Android phones such as Lg V30 ? Or is it just for Samsung phones?

    • Yep, will work on most newer Android phones (anything from Android 5.0 and up) and even iPhones.

  • Any luck with price match at OW?

  • I really want the silver one as this is for a gift…

For those that don't care about silver goodguys ebay has 20% off $500 = $400 for this watch in black

    • Not really. The silver one only comes in 46 mm and is priced at $549. The black one is 42 mm and there is a big difference in battery life and RAM between these 2 models.

      • Catch of the day had the 46mm silver one for $426 yesterday. I went to rebel and they wouldn't price match and I think kogan was $460.

Then went to JB HiFi and tried the price match with catch of the day. The best he said he could do from their price of $529 was $460. So I took that price as I need it for Christmas day. I used a voucher for 5% off $450 and paid $10. So total cost was $437.

Which I'm ok with given short time requirements
