Price dropped extensively to coincide with the sale of these headphones on the US website (50% price drop). Product is shipped from the US so likely a long wait to get them, but at this price I think its worth it. Black version only

JB is selling them at $129 (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/gaming-headset/corsair-gaming-hs60…)

Don't forget Cashrewards! (thanks SuBw00FeR)

Don't forget CashRewards as well :)

  • $19.12 delivery to Brisbane :(

It's from the US so makes sense, Prime ftw though, I've easily saved more with prime than spent on it.

It's a vicious cycle though - if I get prime then I start buying more shit on Amazon that I wouldn't have otherwise bought. These headphones are a prime example :P

        • ahhh I see what you did there… if you haven't signed up for it yet, I think you can trial for free

        • +1

          Free trial :D

can you really call yourself an ozbargainer if you don't waste money on things you don't need and get in a buying spree?

  • My 9yo boy & 12yo girl are getting an xbox for xmas. Is this a good headset for my kids to use with xbox one or is there something more suitable that I should be looking for ?

    • +1

Assuming it is an xbox one S (3.5mm headphone/mic socket on the remote), then these will be great.

Only issue is that it may not be here for Xmas!

  • Sorry it is an xbox one X that my kids will be getting for Xmas

    • +1

Yeah that is fine too - both One X and S have the newer style remotes, so it will work fine.

Not sure on pricing of the HS50 at the moment, but if you will just be using it for xbox and not PC, the usb 7.1 surround of the HS60 won't be able to be used.

    • I had a one x for a short while and any earphones & headphones I tested worked fine. These should too.

    • +1

You got the "X" version for the kids hey….nice.
Kids go to bed…."don't mind if I do". lol enjoy

  • Thanks so much for the tips

    • I also looked at this before buying…Even though it has a slightly lower score, it mentions that the hs60s sound better and at this price the cloud IIs are almost double the price
      https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/hyperx-cloud…

Agreed, great value for the Corsair at this price.

    • Checked the review and watched a youTube comparison between HS60 and Hyper X Cloud Stinger. This one is better value for money (and better sound overall). My only concern is the microphone. It picks up more background noise, but at this price point, cannot expect too much.

      • I’d expect the HS60 to sound better given it’s typically in a higher price bracket. The HS60 should be compared to the Cloud 2 or Alpha.

        • Then, the microphone quality (based on rtings) gap between HS60 vs Clound2 is larger. However, for gaming, should be fine.

Thanks op. Perfect for Xbox and PC

  • Are these a good option for the Switch? TIA

    • +1

I got it for my switch. Only thing is 7.1 wont work on it

    sigh… couldn't resist… I got a pair…

    • +2

      same here ;)

  • Should be good for anything with a TRRS connexion

  • Damn. You got me.

  • Mine got shipped today from US using DHL. Pretty fast turnaround so looking like its coming before christmas

    • +1

Could be DHL Parcel Intl Direct. I am still waiting for my newegg order placed last month to arrive (it cleared custom Tuesday and only arrived at the partner's delivery facility Thursday - I am guessing the partner could be AusPost). The DHL part (the US portion) wasn't fast either.

There is a big difference between DHL Express and DHL Parcel Intl Direct. Do hope yours arrive before Christmas.

      • Yeh its still slow given expected date is 22 decbut better than original estimate of 27-31 dec

    • +1

I actually just bought a Cloud Alpha off Amazon which estimated ~ Dec 29 however they sent it UPS express on December 12 and now it's already showing that it's in Australia and being delivered on Monday.
