  Have you played both games? Which should I best start with, if I only want to get one? I've heard good things about Black Plague.

    Zombicide Season 1 is the original and probably the best place to start - fantastic co-op game - but I haven't played Black Plague yet. The earlier seasons I have played have been built on the same concept, so it was helpful to have learnt Season 1, but not absolutely necessary.

      As a counterpoint, I've heard that some of the rules from the original are irritating from S1, which have been later refined/improved in later versions. Personally I'd lean towards Black Plague, but that also depends on which theme you prefer

    I have black plague. There's not much reason to get the original ones imo because they aren't really related except for the game concept/gameplay. You might choose S1 if you prefer a more "modern" equipment like guns as opposed to black plague which has mages and archers.

    Overall Black Plague does address some gameplay issues from S1. I havn't played in a while but if i recall correctly, there was a rule where if you did a ranged attack on a square where there were friendly AND enemies, your friendlies will definitely get hit but in Black Plague its changed such that friendlies are only hit when you miss the enemy. Also theres a new necromancer enemy which introduces new complications to reach your goal.

    EDIT: Also it seems like black plague's price went back up unfortunately.

      Yeah, I just activated my free trial of prime membership to get this game.

      And then the price went back up.
