Buying a Hair Dryer for Christmas

Looking at spending $100-150 max. Have never bought one before so just looking for some suggestions on brands, shops I could start searching for.

Found this deal that is still going For a remington @ HN and also this VS Sassoon model at Good Guys.

Are these decent brands that might last me a couple years of use?

I bought a VS Sassoon VS48A from Kmart in Decemeber 2013. Still works perfectly, and I've never had any issues with it.

As someone who's bought like four hairdryers in the past 18 months thanks to staff sales, a VS Sassoon hair dryer will perfectly fit your requirements. I recommend the Milano or Venezia (pricier than the Milano but comes with a diffuser). Both are made in Italy and come with a five year warranty. I've purchased both models for friends before and they're both very happy with them.

The Milano is currently $79.20 at Myer (RRP $109.95) and the Venezia is $111.20 at Myer (RRP $159.95). If you have access to 10% off David Jones gift cards, you can get them to price match Myer. Pricier than your model from the Good Guys, but worth it!

    • I second the VS Milano. Have had mine for several years and it is great.

  • Buy a Parlux and don't look back!

    • They're more than the OP's budget though (I don't disagree with you however). Which is why I suggested the two models above me as they have the made in Italy thing like the Parlux, but are cheaper and within the OP's budget.

      • Fair call. If OP can afford the ~$200 mark then Parlux is a good choice.

+1 & you won't regret it as they last forever …I've had mine for 15+ years!

Shaver Shop currently has Parlux 1800 Dryer on sale for $119.00

I am in the market for a hair dryer too. I have never heard of Parlux until today. What is so good about them?

      • Apparently professional salons use them.
