Luvion Baby Monitor? / Access to Choice Review?

Hi guys,

Has anyone bought the Luvion Grand Elite baby monitor? It has great reviews here (https://www.productreview.com.au/p/luvion-grand-elite.html) but I can't find anyone I know who has actually bought it….

I know Choice magazine have also reviewed it but the review is paywalled (https://www.choice.com.au/products/babies-and-kids/children-…) . Would love to know if anyone has read the Choice review and it's rating.

Cheers

I had Angelcare Digital Sound & Movement Monitor AC401BP and you don't need camera to monitor the baby.
Angelcare is a well known brand with good review in amazon.
Early on, these monitors are useless, as baby tend to sleep in bassinet than cot.

    Use amazon for reviews.

    • Second this.

At the start we wanted all the bells and whistles and got a video monitor but didn't miss it after it failed. We went and bought one of these and it has been more than enough.

The movement monitor is the vital part for us, we have found it to be accurate and dependable.

    • Thanks for your comment. I'd get sound only but our baby is older and we want to be able to see what is happening before we enter the room as part of a sleep program!

  • Disclaimer: I know NOTHING about baby monitors.

Choice gives it an overall score of 71%. There are 21 monitors that they rate as Recommended but this was not one of them.

One of its bad points was that it rated poorly in detecting and reproducing soft sounds.

    • Thanks so much mate! Very helpful. I've ended up going with the Uniden BW3451R instead.
