Don't know if anything has changed, but these chamois are rubbish. Better off using a microfiber cloth from a discount store.
Do you just not like this brand or chamois in general?
Unless your car is dust/dirt free, do not use a chamois. You will end up scratching your car with it.
Microfibre towels are the way to go now.

No point mentioning that, I'm sure most people on here use the brush @ car washes which do even more damage

how are these for synthetic shammies for drying after washing the car? do they leave fluff/lint unlike a leather one?
That's how I use mine. Big ol' sponge for washing and chamois for drying. No residue or fibres. Does a good job.

Reminder that Chamois's are garbage. Use this on your bathroom glass or indoors but don't use this on your car. When washing your car if you miss a spot or some dust/debris falls onto your car you'll end up with marring/swirls. For a cheap solution better off using a microfibre towel, wet it then twist it to dry it out then use that.
Don't use a "Big 'ol sponge" to wash your car as the sponge traps dirt and you transfer that to the duco.Use a Chenille microfibre wash mitt or similar.Chamois for drying is fine as long as the car has been washed properly.

Eh, this one is pretty shit, even after absorbing water for a while it's still pretty stiff and just drags water. Buy something a bit better.
