Looking for Nintendo DS games

Hi all

Just bought a New 3DS XL, and keen to use the backwards compatibility to play some DS games as I missed that era.

Any recommendations for classic DS games to get?

Also, where could I get them, besides eBay and Gumtree? Any FB groups out there?

      Haha thanks for the tips. I'm also a semi collector so I don't mind paying for physical copies of games

    I would recommend checking out Cash Converters for cheap DS games if you prefer the legal route.

    The world ends with you is a nice JRPG that was and is a great use of the two screens.
    Luigi's mansion is fun too.

      Luigi's Mansion on DS? Or are you just talking about the 3DS game?

        Ah my bad, I've had both the DS and 3DS so I can't really remember half the time.

    I loved the DS as a kid , some of my favourite games included

    Super Mario 64 for DS
    Mario Kart DS
    Pokémon Heart Gold
    New Super Mario Bros
    Animal Crossing Wild World
    The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

    There’s heaps more games, can’t name them all off the top of my head though

    You can try get these games from eBay, gumtree etc but some of them hold their value quite a bit and are still pricey

    Careful with eBay as you can get fake ds cards if you like to collect.

    My favourite DS game is 999 (mine isn't for sale!), after you've played it you then need to play Virtue's Last Reward then Zero Time Dilemma, on 3DS. VLR is rare (in the Eur region) and ZTD can only be bought on the eShop (in the Eur region, has an American physical release). The DS is region free so you can get any region of that game to play.

    You will like these games if you like challenging puzzles and amazing story, and don't mind no action or hand eye coordination required. They are like the movies memento and Saw mixed together plus the fun of escape rooms with a splash of Portal and even better than you're imagining that combination to be.
