Pay TV for racing and docos help needed.

Had an 'ol mate ask me to help him subscribe to pay TV. He basically wants horse racing and documentaries at this point. Thought I'd ask here cos I have no idea. I'm pretty sure he can get Foxtel through his Telstra account but it's $29 a month for 12 months then it ramps up to $58 a month for the sports/entertainment package and I'm not even sure if that will give him what he wants. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

  • For sports, perhaps he could hit up Kayo?

  • Depending on docos he might find what he wants on streaming services (between Netflix, Amazon, ABC iView, and SBS). If you only want to follow one sporting federation then it's often better to pay for a streaming pass to that fed and get access to absolutely everything. Otherwise, I think foxtel is the only game in Australia.

Of course, there are normally less than legal avenues, but I figure that horse racing is like the newspaper - it's worthless if you're not getting it that day.

Racing - All free through Crownbet/TAB Apps

Docos - Nat Geo is free through Optus.
