I am trialing both Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now on demand TV shows. While I watch Supergirl on foxtel go, I was hit with 4 ads during the whole show while I never had any on foxtel now. Does foxtel go has ads even on its 'streaming' TV shows and movies? I tried to research this, but I can't get a clear answer, hope people who have any of those service can comment on it.
Don't ask them. They will start putting ads on it.
It has been asked on foxtel community before, but the answer is real vague and along the line of ads are needed to secure exclusive show blah blah bullshit.
Catch Up "usually" does not have ads, however some shows have ads even on catch up due to agreements with the companies that produce the content.
Its the same in the US with HULU etc they have a no ads option but you still get ads on some shows as they have no choice due to fees and stuff
I’ve never seen an ad on Foxtel Now on demand. Haven’t tried Go.
That has been my experience as well. Want to try foxtel Go as an alternative due to people offering good monthly prices sharing their foxtel Go account.
Usually Foxtel Go has an ad before the show starts and that's it.

Why not just record everything and use fast food forward or watch on demand with no ads.
Even back in the 80s I recorded he man and shera and used fast forward
For the record the ads on Foxtel is horrendous, worse than normal to now, and Yet it's a paid subscription. Pay to n Australia is shite
cuz I don't want to pay for a full foxtel subscription with the iQ boxes etc… I just want foxtel on demand, don't care too much about foxtel live TV.
What's the price difference
Full package is about $100+ per month vs foxtel go about $25/month for the same package sharing an account. Foxtel Now a bit pricier.
I’m paying $29 per month for the basic Foxtel package. You need to work out what package you’d want to work out whether Now is a better deal.
