Collier Bistrow - Would Not Buy

I've had a lot of problems with Collier Bistrow, having ordered a pair of RM Williams from this store.

I ordered a pair of boots for my sister for Christmas, and spent weeks hearing nothing back from the store. Eventually I started a PayPal dispute, didn't hear anything back from that either. I made these two comments when new deals kept popping up:

I originally wrote a comment of bad feedback, saying:

"I haven't received anything from the very first sale (15th October). I've called their business in the UK, and they keep promising to send it. I opened a PayPal case and after offering a few responses promising to ship it on the next business day, they eventually just stopped replying. PayPal case got escalated, but I'm gonna give this vendor a neg.
From what some people are posting, they've got their boots, but I didn't even get an order confirmation emailed to me when I paid with PayPal.
A couple of days into the PayPal dispute and they haven't even responded."

After I posted these messages the owner of the store called me and asked me to take down the messages in exchange for goods. I said no, I will not, as that is not true to the community, but if you promise to increase communication I can add a comment to say that you are trying to communicate better and remove my neg.

He promised to send goods for the Christmas present and I said okay, thank you.

Since then, I've only faced further issues and he has not communicated with me at all. He will no longer pick up my phone calls or respond to my emails.

Not mad about not getting free goods, but hearing nothing about whether or not I'd have to buy a Christmas present has been frustrating.

It seems like this is a dodgey operator who will try promise goods to get people to get rid of negative comments. I've had messages from other OzBargain members confirming that he has done this to them too.

  • I'm in the same boat as you. I also ordered on the 15th October and still haven't received anything.

    I was told was that my order was showing as cancelled on their warehouse system for some reason and that they fixed that but now there is no stock.
    It's been delay after delay after delay.

    After I sent numerous emails asking for an update I was told that they will be receiving lots of stock on the 5th December. Well that came and went…
    I was offered some free goods for waiting so long (2 months) which I replied to but still haven't heard anything since.

    Make sure you dont close the dispute under any circumstances.

    I have been refunded my money, and am in discussions with the store regarding my order.

    Hi all

    I am in a bit of a pickle. I originally ordered some RM Williams boots on October 15. Confirmation email a week later but nothing sent out. This happened all until December. Freddy actually called me and offered refund in late December. No refund yet as of today (Jan 25). Now he’s not answering any of my emails. Problem is I didn’t use PayPal when paying. I’ve started a chargeback request on Jan 21 through my bank though they are now telling me that there’s a 90-day window in which they can act to get the chargeback. This is different advice given to me by another staff of their bank. So now I’m not sure what to do? As I said, no further email replies so I wonder whether I’ve lost my $300+?!

            • @silentiger86: Maybe try email them from another email account in case your's is going to spam?

              • @The Professional: I think he is deliberately ignoring my email. He has been very quick to respond to previous emails but has stopped replying since this ban on Ozbargain. I am very disappointed to say the least.
