amservices.net.au - Scam?

I recently bought several items from the States, all separate purchases days apart, and all less than $1,000.

I received this email from amservices regarding tax duty, and super confused with this. They seem legit but this email is off cause they don't seem to state any reference to the purchase, the amount etc. Is this a scam?

=====================================

To avoid any further delays can you also please send through a copy of your proof of payment receipt and commercial invoice / purchase order at the same time.

  • not a scam as such. they are just asking you to allow them to do the most basic of tasks for a massive amount of $$$.

    their phone number is disconnected.

    • What exactly is this processing fee task anyways if I did buy something over $1k overseas? Never have (since the 1st thing came into effect) so I've got no idea.

      I'm more curious how they knew I've been making purchases from the states.

        If you're the average person with social media accounts, loyalty programs, spending incentive programs and you block nothing everything gets shared with data brokers and now they have an almost real time picture of your life to sell to anyone including Governments.

        No idea if that's what happened.

        Maybe the banks inform the Government, who knows at this point with the massive attacks on privacy that the Liblabs have carried out. Can't wait until they get voted in by zombies again.

        • I'm not sure what kind of clock I'm thinking of but I sure can set it to the beat of this drum.

          I don't get idioms.

  • It does sound a little dodgy, but doing a little digging I think it is legit.
