Ideas for Fundraising donations

I am helping out with a charity cent sale. We have people locally going to businesses asking for donations of prizes and I have been asked to email companies that might donate. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about who might be willing. So far I have just emailed sports teams (nrl, afl, soccer) and some have sent things already. Who else can I try?

    try some video ezy store. maybe they have old dvds to give away or something

    try schools. I remember my p.s joined with MS foundation to raise funds. The school did it buy having a read-a-thon or something.

    or you could call a lions club and see if thier willing to give you some advise where to source donations from

    what kind of donations are you wanting?

    Maybe try some local hotels who might be willing to donate a night's stay, or a weekend package, etc

    hair care/nails
    car detailer
    car window tinter
    bottle shop -uncles dans, BWS, first choice
    golf club -free round for 4.
    restaurants- meal voucher
    lawn mowing/gardening business

    push the whole "we will be advertising your business to the the 200+ local caring people who attend this auction and they will remember your business name in a positive light" angle
