Awesome price! Now hopefully they will discount Mission Impossible 4k 6 movie collection

Just bought. Thanks! Don’t forget cashrewards!

  • Great set of films for 4k viewing, cheers.

  • Well there it is

  • +6

I hate buying these, because next year a new one will come out, then this becomes incomplete =(

    • I learnt that lesson with the Planet Of The Apes movies. The only difference is I enjoy all of them so it was worth it.

  • I recently bought 2 (JP and Lost World) of them separately for 19$ each. Do you think they will accept my return and buy this one instead?

    • Yes. So long as they’re not opened.

      • -1

I have them opened, but not played yet. Tried going through their return process using first 2 options (bought by mistake, better price available), but both say 7$ will be deducted from the final refund amount.

        • +5

You're lucky they'll take them at all.

You opened them - it should be your sore luck. It happens to all of us sometimes, it's never fun, but it's reasonable.

        • Buy this one and take 2 JP and Lost World for returning. This boxset comes with all 5 individual films.

Cheaper to buy the first movie and stop there.

    • oof

    • I used to love Jurassic Park 3 cos I was 7 when it came out and the spinosaurus was my fave Dino. Watched it recently, and it has not aged well for me. Still worth a watch though.

The lost world though, that's a different story…

      • In my opinion, the story line from first 2 can never be matched. The reboot with Jurassic World was a good re-start, but fallen kingdom killed the interest in me.

        • Ergh… that second one.

    • Second film is better than the first IMO.
That Jeep over the cliff scene is more intense than Gravity (which wasn’t intense at all)

      • Where the little girl kicks a dinosaur through steel grating… yeah great movie.

  • I gather that most of these earlier films were filmed in sub 4K quality, so you robbaly won’t notice the difference between this and a regular boy ray copy on a 4K tv.

    • Most likely. The first film only used computer graphics when necessary.

      • Yeah, that doesn't engage with anything I said.

        • Yeah it does. You can rerender computer files.

But yeah I was only trying to be funny. You're not going to improve if you don't try right? :)

    • +3

      what about a girl ray.

  • I don't even have a 4K TV and pulled the trigger. will view this from a 55" 1080P TV and enjoy the sound with the 5.1.2 atmos/DTSX setup.

  • Might be worth noting that they are currently also available on iTunes. Jurassic park triple pack $19.99, and Jurassic world double pack $19.99. All five movies for less than $40

    • But is it 4K?

      • +1

Believe they are the HD versions. Might not be good enough quality for some. But with my eyes I can't tell the difference. Particularly when streaming

      • Once the 4K version is made available on iTunes - it will be a free upgrade to it

      • +1

Yes the iTunes versions are 4K. The first 4 are 4K HDR, the last one is 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

The 5 Film collection is $39.99 at the moment (less if you buy iTunes gift cards on a discount)

        • Thanks! Just bought :)

  • -1

"Which makes it $10.70 for each movie."

More like it's $26.73ea for the first two movies, bonus three free drink coasters with Jurassic park artwork on them.

    • -5

Exactly. The rest aren’t worth a cent

  • -1

Dont know why, but I just grabbed one :) Cheers OP
