Buying US AT&T Phone for Use in Australia?

Hi all

I would really love to get a V35 as it has everything i want in a phone at a much cheaper price than V40.
This is something I'm looking at

I compare the frequency bands that Telstra supposedly uses, the phone has bands below:

4G LTE
Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 14, 20, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46, and 66

4G
HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul

3G – UMTS
850/1700/1900/2100MHz

GSM/GPRS/EDGE
850/900/1800/1900MHz

World phone
Quad-band

I noticed the phone is missing 700MHz (B28) & 900MHz (B8). What would this do to reception? Does it simply mean I might not have as wide of a coverage eg. in buildings/outbacks etc?

Thanks a lot in advance! :)

You really don’t want a phone missing Band 28 on Telstra. It’s one of their main 4G bands. You will find yourself on 3G far more regularly and frankly their 3G seems to be congested as shit these days.

    • thanks very much mate…damn…I really want v35 but they didnt release it over here…. oh well, will think on it a bit more…might even have to compromise reception for a phone that I want…. :(
