Urgent help Boxing Day phone purchase (OnePlus 6T or Samsung Galaxy S9)

So a couple of days ago ive dropped my s8 sad reacts the screen and the lcd is broken so theres bascially 3 options presented to me now

  1. Repair the s8 screen
    Since this is a grey import phone samsung Australia wouldnt touch it so the repairs from other stores would be around 400-500

  2. Buy Samsung s9
    The s9 would just be an upgrade from my current phone. Theres the ip68 rating, the headphone jack and the 1444p screen.

  3. Buy Oneplus 6T
    I used to own the op 1 so i dont think it would be that big of a change. Theres the bigger screen, inscreen finger print reader, seemgly better preformance,batter life, faster charging and looks a bit sexier too.

So my main concerns when deciding amongst these two phone are probably.

  • 3.5mm jack (is the adapter convenient)
  • screen quality
  • battery life (my s8 has an ass battery)
  • preformance
  • camera
  • water resitantenceness
  • converting back to a flat screen.
  • the bigger size
  • repair cost. So right now i think repair for both is pretty scarce. The 6t is virtually impossible to find a repair place in australia and a grey market s9. Curved screen and inscreen finger print sensor seems expendisve to replace.

Both are currently at the price if i get a grey import s9.(or if i get one should i get an australian so repair would be cheaper?). But assume its the same price which one would u guys get.

    You pretty much listed all the differences, just up to you decide which features have higher priority.

    6T has a 23% larger battery with a lower resolution display and no microsd card. I'd choose S9+ if that was an option.

      Yea man thats the dilemma right now but unfortunately the s9+ is slightly out of my budget rn. But thanks tho.

    If headphone jack is a big deal why not just the OP6 instead?
