PHD Mobile for Android and iOS

Hey everyone,

I've made an app for Android and iOS called PHD Mobile. Because its my first paid app that I've released on the android/iOS stores, I've generated some free codes so you can get it for free and let me know what you think.

What is it?

A while ago I had some palpitations in my chest occasionally. I went to the doctors and they advised I be fitted with a Personal Holter Device (you strap it to your chest and it logs your heart rate and how it beats). When I was being fitted with the PHD (Personal Holter Device) I was handed a piece of paper with my name scrawled on it and told that I would have to take it with me everywhere and write on it when I felt a palpitation, the time, and what I was doing.

I'm lame at carrying things with me so I thought about making an app that would make this easier for me. And so I did, and now we have PHD Mobile :)

Features

Features include:

  • Being able to log when an event occurred, as well as approximately when it occurred with better precision
  • Describing what you were doing when the event took place
  • At a glance see how many events you have experienced that day
  • Export your events to PDF, and email them to your practitioner or print them out for consideration at your next appointment.
  • Reset logged events at the conclusion of wearing the Holter Device

I realise that this is an incredibly niche market and this won't be an app for absolutely everyone, but I found some use in being able to accurately log my events and then export them to PDF/print them from my phone instead of having to take a piece of paper and pen with me everywhere I went. You can also directly print the PDF of your events and take them with you when you return your PHD, or you can email them to your practitioner.

What's it written in?

Xamarin.Forms

Why didn't you just log it in your phones notes app? Or Google Keep? Or legitimately anything else?

I found this to be a little inconvenient. Plus I'd have to find the note with my details in it, and then estimate a time, and try to keep it well formatted. I also found it hard to print directly from Google Keep or equivalent. Plus, I wanted to make something pretty-ish and get it up on the store as a first effort.

Was your heart okay?

Yeah it was just an "ectopic beat" fortunately.

This is the Android Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.azimuth.ph…
iOS store link coming after Apple finishes their holiday…

These are some codes for the Android Store. If you use one let me know and I will take it out of the list.

Enjoy! Questions or comments, just let me know. Thanks!

  • Where do I enter the code?

  • So where do you actually go to export? I saw no options for it.

Perhaps allow the time to be set to any time instead of up to 15 minutes?

    • The top right of the screen has an arrow icon, you hit that to export. Turns out there is an issue exporting that PDF on certain devices though - just pushed through an update for it (pending Google Play Store's approval).

The idea of the "last 15 minutes" is that you would log an event that has just happened… so you would be in a better position to approximate how long ago it had happened, then trying to remember it happening at a certain time. Have I explained that, or confused it further? :)

Thanks for the feedback and trying it out :)

      • Yeah the arrow was force closing.

What it the person is not within reach of their phone and it takes them longer than 15 minutes to get there and record? There are many possibilities like that.

        • I pushed an update that should fix the arrow force closing.

I'll think about a way to implement a better time picker 😀 thank you for your feedback, it's super appreciated
