Apple Watch 3 or Fitbit Versa

Needing some input. I can’t decide whether to get the Fitbit Versa or the Apple Watch 3. I would like the 4th gen but it’s a bit steep in price so if you had the choice between the Versa and the 3 which one would you choose. I also have an iPhone.

What features do you want most?

I've been using the versa for a week- it's pretty much a fitness tracker with smart features. It does a good job at that. Battery life is ok, around 4-5 days without using any exercise /GPS features. I've yet to make the music function work, any Bluetooth earphones I connect play at max volume and I can't make it play softer

Apple watch is a smart watch so will have more smart features, don't have any experience with those

Personally im waiting for a good deal on the Amazfit Pace watches - their features and battery life beat most competition. The always on screen is also a good selling point for me

    • You can control audio playing music on your phone. Take a look at the following instructions to do so:

If you have an Android or Windows 10 phone, first turn on Bluetooth Classic to control music on your phone:
Open the Settings app User-added imageon your watch > Bluetooth > Pair.
On your phone, navigate to the Bluetooth settings where paired devices are listed. Your phone will scan for available devices.
When you see "Classic” next to your Fitbit device, tap it.
From any screen, press and hold the back button and swipe to the Music Controls screen. You may see the current track playing or the most recently played track.
To open additional controls, tap the 3 dots (…) in the bottom left corner.
Tap the phone icon to change the audio source to your phone. Then use your watch to control the song or audio playing on your phone.

      • Yeah, not really - one of the special features of the versa is that it has on board storage for music so you can play it without your phone nearby. Handy when out running or when phone needs a charge. It's this feature that's bugged and volume controls on versa / Bluetooth earphones aren't working

Thanks for trying to help though

  • Really depends what you want to use it for as you said you already have an Iphone if you just want it for for fitness etc go with the versa or you want it to do everything play apps make take calls etc go with the apple watch

  • Have had a Fitbit Versa for a month now, it replaced a Pebble 2. Love it - all the notifications I need and fitness tracking functions, very low profile on the wrist without seeing too tiny. Battery life kicks Apple Watch’s arse - can get up to five days between charges.

    I can answer this.

I moved from IPhone to Android. And from Apple watch 2 to Fitbit Versa.

Apple watch is substantially better than Fitbit. It's not really close. I'd even have Series 2 over Fitbit.

The only thing Fitbit is excellent at is battery life. Outside of that it's average.

Apple watch is the market leader for a reason.

Shame I much prefer Android OS. Shame Google haven't released a pixel watch.

If you have any specific questions I'm happy to answer.

      Thank you! This really helps

      • You're welcome.

    • Fitbit has the best sleep tracking of all smart wearables too.
