I didn't have time to browse the comments above but I normally use Skyscanner.

(You'll need a general idea of bag fees and other add-ons as well).

I'm going against every other users suggestion (and will probably be downvoted for suggesting it) but and am going to say Skyscanner

Everyone else has said skyscanner. Not sure if you could see other comments. Maybe there is a glitch?

Looks like you missed a joke that just flew over your head. Maybe if you used Skyscanner you could have caught it.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but I recommend skyscanner

I find the price shown on Skyscanner is often incorrect (almost always more expensive than what it shows) and not updated regularly.

I use Google Flights for flight price comparison.

    • There's one in every group

Yeah. I wondered if it was a double currency conversion or card fee side effect but haven't checked recently.

Years ago we used Webjet to search but booked directly. I suppose that's the only live method for direct-from-website domestic flight prices (assuming it actually is).

    • Skyscanner scans travel agents and store result in their own database. Travel agents may not be up to date when responding to Skyscanner sourced queries. And if you're doing a multi-day search, Skyscanner would not even query the travel agents and just pulls up prices off their historical search only.

Google Flights searches airline GDS pricing database. Its much more accurate, but you're getting the airline list price with no travel agent based discounting or fees. ITA Matrix is the underlying Google Flights technology and is even more powerful for advanced searches.

    The correct answer isn't Bestjet.

Have to disagree with the suggestions above, but IMHO, I would suggest Skyscanner.

You are only disagreeing with one suggestion! Everyone else agrees!

Wow, it's really flown over your head

    Canon Scanner.

  • +2

    Google Flights is pretty decent

  • +1

I usually start with ITA Matrix

AT risk of being in the minority here, give an aussie co. a go
    - they do far more than just compare prices.

    Rome2Rio.

Second choice ITA Matrix or google flights, otherwise just get on their mailing lists 'Friday Fare Frenzy' yeah then all the add-ons, and remember Skyscanner and all the others quote the basic fare, so apples/oranges beware.

I find momondo quite good usually.

    Skyscanner
    Googleflights
    Momondo

    In that order..

  • I just usually go flight centre, then check the prices on the direct websites, like qantas or jetstar or whatever, and their own websites are usually cheaper. But will definitely check out these other sites when I plan my next trip.

Ever sat down to think how Flight Centre pay rent, wages, utilities, equipment, profit? Of course the airlines direct website will be cheaper, Flight Centre is a service… It's the exact same outcome, with you, the consumer paying a premium for that service inside of their higher flight costs, etc.

    avoid edreams.

    at least for domestic flights

i was recently checking domestic flights and found some which were $30 cheaper than the airline directly.

the prices looked a lot cheaper, but when you get to the payment screen and choose either CC or paypal for payment then suddenly they add their fees.

it's very subtle and almost deceiving in practise as they keep saying "this is how much you will pay -cheaper fare" but then at the last step they add FEES ~$40.

    note- haven't checked them for

  • When and where are you flying?

  • i used google flights for our last trip and found it to be excellent. Plus you know they're being 100% independent.

Just book with Tiger they are the cheapest most of the time anyway.

  • Google flights.

    Simple. Quick. Free.

  • Kayak is my preference. Allows you to search +- 3 days which comes in handy when trying to find the cheapest flight when dates are negotiable.

Webjet. Skyscanner uses a lot of fake/dodgy sites to source prices from so it appears cheaper than it seems.

Virgin or jetstar or tiger airways would be my first thought.. but don't ask me I never fly.

    Googleflights
You can try these two sites.
    Good luck
