Batman: The Animated Series - Complete Boxset Blu-Ray $63.98 @ JB Hi-Fi

230

In my opinion the definitive Batman and Bruce Wayne.

This amazing series has been remastered for the first time since its original 1992-1995 run for the Blu-ray release.

Includes all 109 episodes and the remastered animated movies Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero. The collection also features The Heart of Batman, a 90-minute documentary that follows the making of Batman: The Animated Series and includes interviews with nearly three dozen members of the cast and crew.

See the below YouTube links for comparison between the standard and remastered versions.

Very good cartoon. I say that as someone who is meh about super hero stuff generally.

It was drawn on black backgrounds so True Edgelords can appreciate it.

So torn… have picked this up and put it down a few times when I’m store. I love the series, but just finding that less and less I actually take the physical disc out of the package to watch… when there is a digital copy available. Never thought I’d see the day that I’d be selling off my movie collection to go digital. Still buy discs from the international specialty publishers (Arrow, Eureka, Shout, etc), but even that has been winding down a lot.

    • I’m in the same boat, ripped my dvds last year and been culling movies I’m never going to watch again. I also keep an eye out for sales on iTunes or google play for upgrades to hd

      • I'm about to do the same. What software would you recommend for ripping DVDs?

        • If you want 1:1 rips makemkv is what I use and I use handbrake to compress and/or convert to mp4

  • It’s 69.99 on ITunes for people who don’t want the discs or the extras

    • I'm fairly certain this comes with a digital copy you can get from iTunes.

      • I know the U.S versions does but if this is a Aus release it may not as we seem to miss out on Itunes codes mostly now

      • Can anyone confirm this? I’m about to pop down to my local to see for myself.

I have my copy in front of me and I can't see anything about a digital copy so I'm assuming not for Australia. It might only be the deluxe edition which we only get the option of importing.

          • @coray8: Thanks mate. I’ve decided to hold off and look at the digital version.

A proper Joker too, unlike Ledger's version, which was unlike the true character.
