      there is a cheaper baseus but it is not a chrager

    Can anyone tell me from experience if the Air Vent holder is it better or a holder that can either suction onto the dash or windscreen? Just as Ali has both types from BASEUS. The suction one comes in at $22.69USD but I'm happy to pay a little more if the product is better.

      I'm pretty sure the suction won't come off.

      However I don't think the ABS material will last, I used to have 2 older Baseus windscreen suction phone holder with the goose neck steel bendy thingy. It was the plastic clips holding the spring that broke before the suction failed, both around the 2 year mark from daily usage. Had no problems with the suction as I've taken it on some really rough fire trails and your usual shitty Brisbane/Sydney hard tops.

      Nothing against Baseus, it just our Australia weather is much more unforgiving especially for a windscreen mounted accessory.

      That said I wouldn't hesitate to use their products again.

      From my exp, the air vent type would be better for wireless charging as cold air from air con will cool it down. You will basically cook your phone stucking it on to the dash or windscreen and wireless charging it at the same time in the heat of summer.
      PS: just remember to close the air vent when using it in winter with heater on LOL :)

    received mine, bit funky.
    causes my tronsmart car charger to make funny electric sound
    havent seen it charging at full speed on my s8+

    one more con i just realised of these type of chargers is that if car is off, you can take phone out of the holder as the opener is electric, could remediate this with a battery bank in between or something i suppose but thats annoying.

    Bought it in August, stopped working two weeks ago. Now since it's a motorized holder, you have to press the release button and hope it obliges. Otherwise power cycle until it releases your phone.
    The seller ignored my ebay message and the warranty card has a 4000-number (China I suppose).
    Although it was good at first, the fact that it has to grip and ungrip at startup, and again after ignition was annoying and probably hastened its demise.
    Not going to buy a motorized one again.
