Does Your King Mattress Have Dips Either Side and a Lump in The Middle?

My king size mattress developed dips either side and a lump in the middle, it was repaired after 3 months and occured again straight away. I am fighting for a
Refund. Went to Consumer Protection WA and the rep that was allocated told me this happens to all King mattresses. Is this true?

If yours has dips in it can you please comment how old your mattress is and if it has a pillow top?

    you mean sagging right ?

a good mattress will not sags that easily

    remember to rotate it

    • Yes sagging. I wish I could, this mattress has an electric pump at the top so its not designed to rotate or that could help.

Those extra kilos from the festivities season has made a big dint in it.

    • Yes Id hate to see what would happen if someone heavier than me slept on it, im less than 60kgs

Technically my vote's invalid, as we have a queen, but the answer is still yes. Combination of cheap mattress plus cheap bed frame (it's supported best on the edges and a line down the middle). Brand new mattress would be ok, but it doesn't get the support it needs where it needs it the most (if only one person slept on it, and used the very middle, then it'd be fine).

What's underneath the mattress? If you have proper boxsprings and they're not sagging, I'd put (most of) the blame on the mattress. If it's some cheap slats like we have, then there's (part of) your problem.

    • The mattress was expensive, but yes its on a slat bed. I would have bought the base to go with it if they had told me otherwise 😏

    yeah, but it's 10 odd years old….
    .

  • Sleep in the middle every now and then to even it out?

    • Tried that occassionally and it hasn't made a difference 🤔

  • what brand?

  • Looks like its about 50/50. I wonder if I should have asked how old the mattress is and if it has a pillow top to see if this makes a difference too?
