  Anyone know if the eggs "1500" free range or "10,000" free range? Not sure when I'll next be in store.

    They have both. I've seen Pace Farm 10,000 and Sunny Queen 1500 varieties (hens/hectare).

      oh I didn't realise Pace was 10,000 geez that's incredibly cheap. I'd actually swap for the extra $1 or so. I figure the 1500 is not much difference to cages for the hens.

        10,000 per hectare means 1 hen per m^2.

        1,500 per hectare means 6.7m^2 for each hen, on average.

          @seb: Ah sorry you're right, I've got it Rs-about-face, I thought the Pace eggs were pretend free range.
          I've not seen the Sunny Queen eggs at Costco.
