DTB Diluting The Bargains - ozbargain site needs a renovation

DTB Diluting The Bargains.

Can the moderators please implement filtering so we don't have to see 50c savings promoted over actual bargains.

Custom filters where I can filter out groceries unless it's a 50% saving would be useful.

If you don't do this soon I'm probably going to go elsewhere to get my bargains from now on. Any recommendations guys?

where did you see 50c savings mate?

    • Couldn't have been the Aldi Brioche Burger Buns post:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/430165

as this is a $0.49 saving!

Item is normally sold for $2.49 so saving percentage is 20% which is pretty good.

I see a lot of people hunting like crazy for 5% off egift cards for supermarkets and if Aldi provides 20% discount without using any discounted gift card then where is the problem?

    Good riddance.

OzBargain will do very well without trolls members like you.

Find your own bargains and start your own site. That’ll be less effort than scrolling past bargains with smaller savings.

If a discount store is selling an item for $2.50 and they reduce it to $2 you don't want to see it, but if an expensive store is selling the same item for $4 and they also reduce it to $2 then you do want to see it?

I'd speculate that this type of attitude has lead to retailers increasing their regular prices, to give a higher % off discount or having items that are almost always on sale, ie 'fake sales'. I think it's a good thing if OzBargainers can look beyond that and post/vote on a deals true value.

    • As per my above comment, people hunt like crazy for 5% off discounted supermarket egift cards and will even open Suncorp bank account to avail of such discounted egift cards.

Aldi is doing the right thing by selling the item at 20% off the original price which is already cheap.

  • Any recommendations??? Sure… Go to www.gusper.com.au tons of bargains tuned to your liking.

I'm curious as to who you think you are - Mr King Sh_t?

You're complaining about a free service and threatening to go somewhere else if your demands are not met. No-one likes to be threatened. If you want to go somewhere else, no-one is going to try stop you.

I love my OzBargain, I mean not all bargains are for everyone but that’s sort of the point isn’t it?

Generally if a deal is good, more people will upvote. You can adjust the upvote threshold for the front page.

Have you even read the wiki. No secrets here. They even mention the competition.
