Crocs X OzBargain Product Collaboration?

Hi there all,

In light of the recent post I thought this would be the perfect time to finally open the discussion on this. I (employeee of Crocs Australia) have been playing with the thought of exploring a product collaboration between Crocs and Ozbargain.

The Ozbargain community has been very supportive these last couple years and I would like to create something special in return. Now, since we are a global company product collaborations need to go through a thorough approval process, hence why I need to be able to back myself with facts.

From stats in the past I can see how powerful the Ozbargain community is, which is why I really want to get your feedback on this.

First of all, is there any interest? I understand this would be the first ever physical product collaboration between Ozbargain and any brand.

Once we've established that, I will have another discussion internally and with Scott and if everything goes well, we can poll on colours & price (yes, it'll be a bargain of course ;).

      It makes a kind of sick logic - someone who's shameless enough to wear crocs is also likely to be shameless enough to wear OzB ones…

      Kidding aside, they're very comfortable and versatile for a lot of situations. Just not around people who recognize me…

    Not trying to be rude, but crocs are, an acquired taste. I have a feeling many of the people upvoted the most recent deal because it was funny, not because they were genuinely going to buy them. Could be completely wrong, so take what i say with a grain of salt

      Crocs could easily see where they're sales were referred from, e.g. OzBargain especially when almost all clicks are not members.

      People definitely voted for them being funny though.

    maybe a couple collabs for a new year giveaway would be nice, I like the idea but highly unlikely to purchase one…

    All I wear is Crocs (flip flops) but buying online has been a pain. Out of 5 pair bought last year I had to return 3 because of manufacturing defects - the straps of the flip flops were of varying lengths and unusable. Poor quality control I'd say. It happened a couple years ago too.

    On both occasions I had to pay to return them which killed the deal for me, and I didn't buy them again after the last time.

    If the issue has been addressed I'd be into another Crocs deal. But I'd like to see returns for manufacturing defects paid for by Crocs.

    Why is a thread about Crocs in the Fashion & Apparel forum? Crocs are the polar opposite of fashion.

    I'd genuinely be interested. You could trial them with limited quantities, and if they are truly a bargain then perhaps ozbargainers may give it a go and convert to the superior Crocs master race.
