With thanks to @being askhole for posting previous deal

Huge price drop on this game & cheapest so far. This time its available for AU/NZ users.

Previous price $17.79

Fallout but online released 14th November 2018 Less than 2 month old game.
Apparently its terrible, but I've had a worse time watching Holmes and Watson paying $20 at the local Cinema.
I also paid money to see Connor drop like potatoes and Own an Xbox one. I've made worse decisions with my money.

Description:

Fallout 76 details

*Everything you loved about Fallout 4 is even better in Fallout 76 : the quests, the crafting, the base building, and of course the multiplayer experience*

* Fallout 76 has an in-game map that’s four times bigger than Fallout 4! This is truly one of Bethesda’s most ambitious games ever.
* In Fallout 76 you (or one of the other players that populate your world) have the power to launch some of the same nuclear weapons that caused the d evastation of the world… so please be nice.
* Just like in Fallout 4, strange scavengers might attack you, a mysterious merchant might sell you something, or a brave companion might lend you a hand in defeating a mutated monstrosity. All of these interactions are still possible Fallout 76, but now, behind all of them, will be real humans players just like you.

You paid $20 for Holmes and Watson.. what were you thinking 😂 I would be worried if I bought this Todd would keep spamming my phone number wanting to be friends

I can't get my head around how something with that much money and star power was so bad.*

      • have not seen the film but every review is brutal.

ya know ya dun goofed when bootlicking 'professional critics wouldn't even put up middling reviews because it'll be too obvious that they're shills of AAA game publishers.

I know this got extremely bad reviews, but is it any good just to mess around on with friends?

I bought it with my partner at launch. Also have some friends who bought it.

We have played it twice and have no intentions of playing it again. None of our friends are playing it either. It's just an empty game.

  •

I'm still unsure if I should buy this 🤔, I want to believe it's worth it, but I fear it's really as bad as others have said.

under AUD$8 by March, right guys?

I'm waiting for Cashrewards to pay us for buying the game.

Spare a thought for those that paid $200.. that's USD right?

I jokingly said this game would be F2P by a year, now I'm starting to think that it may actually happen lol.

  • +1 vote

at this rate I will just wait until it is free to play haha lol

not gonna waste money on this second thinking even spending time on this piece of waste

Is this really that bad? If it is I am amazed at how this got green lit and went past the all the testers etc. Did no actual human play the game during development?

Fallout is a massive fan favourite franchise for Bethesda and toying with it like this is like playing with fire. Perhaps the cost of trying something new.

They did the early access beta thing. Everyone assumed it was only a fake early access perk because it was too close to release date to be a real beta.
But nope, game really was in pre beta state.

It's not just the bugs, it really is like the game has been developed by used car salesmen rather than anyone from the gaming industry.

Oh wow that's amazing, perhaps 76 falling apart will give them a shot in the arm for the rest of their coming games.

Personally I can't wait for Rage, I know it's by Avalanche, but if Fallout can fall this bad who knows what can happen to the rest.

Do not buy it…. this is a train wreck…. I bet Starwars Battlefront 2 is actually a better game than this to play….
    - boring
    - monotonous
    - walking simulator
    - no end game
    - some builds are simply not viable and there's only 1 good build..melee…it destroys everything
    - eating and drinking simulator as well..
    - rather play FO3/FO3 NV/FO4 with mods than this…they are cheaper and has a lot more actual gameplay than this junk.

    •

What about all those reported bugs and network disconnection problem too?

    •

FO3 was Oblivion with guns. F76 is just Elders Scroll online with guns.

Since bethesda ruined fallout universe so that console gamers can play it, the only worthy fallout games were F1 and F2.

Wow 17$ for an over two month release game that came out at like $100?!

  • +2 votes

The bigger this game bombs the greater the chance they put a half decent effort into making sure the next Elder Scrolls is up to snuff. So these punks aint getting a cent of mine 'til they prove they've got their sh!t together. Stakes too damn high.

  •

    Keep going…. I'll pay at $10.

  •

They just can't sell this game can they ? It's like ac unity on the xb1 selling for 10 cents over and over It's no longer a sale season and the price drops even lower.

Free to play version coming soon.

I bought it about a week ago, when it was $17.xx - I like it and im still enjoying it.

For me, easy worth it at under $20.

There's still people online to help with the bigger battles or help you out with crafting materials (which can be a grind).

    Not everyone hates it :P

    •

Yeah it isn’t too bad, especially with mates. But there is some frame hitches here and there, and my pc is by no means crap. Plus a fair amount of glitches. I enjoyed F4, but F76 feels very empty a lot of the time.
