Expert Flyer Pro Membership or British Airways Avios

Hi all,

I'm trying to view all of the available OneWorld affiliated award/reward flights for a trip later in the year.

From searching heavily, it appears that each carrier will annoyingly include/exclude partner flights for some reason, even though it is still possible to book (to use Qantas points). For example, when using the American Airways website, it shows me a bunch of first class award flights (Malaysia Airlines) that the Qantas site does not show, even though they are all a part of OneWorld.

Would anyone here be able to help me out in searching for ALL available award/reward flights for me with their ExpertFlyer.com pro membership, or perhaps if you have a British Airways and can do the search for me?

Cheers!

  • Usually EF has a free trial period, so why not give that a go first.

With BA, you will encounter the same reward 'search' issue. For example, they often over"estimate" Cathay Pacific awards, the site will say there x amount of seats and when you ring Qantas or American to book, there is none available. Then you jump on JAL mileage bank where they are (almost) accurate in regards to Cathay seats and that confirms there is none.

Personally, I use Qantas to give me a "general search", then I use BA to search for QR/BA flights, JL for CX/JL flights … PITA process but usually that should cover most of awards.

BTW if you want a BA account, just register, I believe it is still free to join but requires a UK address. Just enter any hotel's address and bingo.

    • I signed up for the free EF account but it only lets you setup a seat alert for a flight you already know.

The award sears search is only available in the paid subscription

  • I use award.flights which is a chrome extension that runs a macro to search for flights between 2 airports over a period that you set.

You need an account that the app logs into so I've just got some throw-away accounts that I use. It is frustrating that not all flights show up on QF or BA so I just set my To / From and date range and select it to search both QF and BA at the same time. For flights between smaller obscure airports then I use AA.

For a BA account, either use a hotel address or set your country to Austria.

    • Awesome thanks for the tip
