Not putting this on the bargains, as I don't have a photo for proof, and no idea if it's even still there, but we were in Officeworks at Aspley (Brisbane) today and they had a demo model Pentax K-X DSL Kit - Single lens for $379 (which they offered to reduce even further). I thought this was a fantastic price and we were going to get it, but DH inspected it and found a fingerprint dragged down on the lens, dust and other bits of fluff and - worrying about what what else he couldn't see - talked me out of it :(
I was happy to get it, as it had full warranty, so if I had found issues we could have returned it, or got it fixed but decided my marriage was worth more.
Anyway - worth checking if you're in the market for one - but call first. Might be a couple left at other stores - no idea.
At that price, it's a bargain. I got one at almost 2.5x that price a year ago with a Sigma 17-70mm lens. You'll want to get an additional lens anyway (assuming that's the standard 18-55 on it).
