  • Too much for a court date suit when my fine will most likely only be $100

    • This one only costs $3, will blend into the crowd and money left over to pay the court fees

Have also seen legal aid lawyers wearing them.

      • See below.

        • No joke

        • Sorry, I didn't get the memo.

    • +3

      Joke is getting old.

  • Thanks bro!

No 48R for the big fella like me.

  • Can anyone comment on quality of these suits for the price? Been a lot of suit deals recently - need one for a wedding

    • I've had my Jeff Banks suit for 18 months and very happy with the quality for the price. In my experience it is better than the other brands that Myer stocks at a similar price point

      • Thanks - convinced me to pull the trigger. Any decent shirts on sale these days to go with the Navy suit/jacket combo? Also need some shoes ! Trust ozbargainers to know a good deal.

        • If you only need one, Myer sales are good - Blaq normally on sale for $20-25. If you want a couple, can't beat CT shirts 3 for $99

        • If you are looking for good dress shoes, you can find some nice ones for under $150 at Peter Jackson. I recommend these because for the price of a glued Florisheim pair, you get a show that's been Blake stitched. (basically a shoe that is more durable and when the sole wears away, you can get it repaired as opposed to a glued shoe (like most of the shoes that Myer sell) which, when they seperate, are almost impossible bro repair and don't last as long as a Blake stitched or a welted pair of shoes. Peter Jackson shoes if you want to spend under $150 for a class of shoes that normally cost twice as much.

    • I highly recommend a JB suit if you can get one that is 100% wool shell (any kind of lining should be fine). Especially the Ivy League line. Avoid the polyester blends because they sell for the same price and they are very hot, unbreatheable and they bubble quickly.

Other than that, I love my JB suits. Great fabric for the price on offer.

  • +1

The suits are all slim fit, and all except one appear to be wool blend.

    • Which one is the wool blend?

    • Who isn't wearing a slim fit suit these days??

  • "Jeff Banks Two Tone Pinpoint Performance Stretch Suit Jacket"….for fight night?

  • how do these compare to the TM Lewin suits ?

    • There are a lot of Jeff Banks suits that are sold in Myer that are Polyester/Wool blends which sell for similar prices as the TM Lewin suits. So if you are looking for quality fabric, then TM Lewin beat out JB.

However, if you are looking for stretch fabric, then JB has it covered but in my opinion, I don't like the trend of suit trousers looking like my skinny jeans and suits with polyester tend to bubble faster, and develop a weird shiny effect after a few uses. What's worse, polyester is just not breathable and not a nice fabric for expensive garments.

      • Still they are wool elastine blended suits not wool polyester
        * Pure wool with stretch fabric for comfort and durability * Nanotex strain resistance *

  • I am a big fan of Jeff Banks, but ever since Myer is mainly stocking wool blend suits from Pierre Cardin, Van Heusen and Jeff Banks, I've been more focused on the Calvin Klein line of suits. Polyester mixed in with wool should come with markedly cheaper prices, but with a brand like JB selling wool/poly blends at similar prices as a wool or wool/linen blend suit, I'll pass.

Not bagging out JB as a brand, I just can't find a straight wool suit from JB in a Myer store as of late. Will wait for the winter line.

    • I think you will they are wool/ elastine blend not wool / polyester blend

      • Pure wool with stretch fabric for comfort and durability * Nanotex strain resistance *
