Techfast Leaper Pro Case Front Fan?

Hey y'all.

I was one of the people who bought a techfast pc from one of their deals and I got case fans to install in the pc. I got 3, one was for the front, one was for the rear, and one for the top. Comes today and I actually look for where to install the front case fan and there's really, nowhere it goes? This is the leaper pro rgb case (big one). Does anyone have any idea where the front fan actually goes, since there's no vantage on the front.

  • Got a photo of the front of the case? (and did you get the fans with the system from Techfast?)

    • Na I asked for the build unassembled. Yeah one sec

    • Updated post with pictures

      • Huh, that is one weird front panel set-up. Maybe taking off the HDD (and mounting it elsewhere if there's another spot?) lets you mount a fan there - but TechfastAU's site says the case should have 2 front fan spots and I can't see where 2 could possibly fit.

Either that ^ or….. the fans are supposed to fit just behind the front panel (if you can take that off?) in front of the LED bar, but that'd make no sense.

Might have to PM the Techfast AU rep here on OzB for clarification. Or wait for someone who bought with the fans installed to chime in if they open up theirs and have a look.

        • There is literally nowhere else to mount the hdd, just letting it sit there isn't going to do it. Yeah I don't know either where the fans would sit behind the front panel. If someone has a front fan installed pre build it would be great if you could indicate me what to do.

          • @OzBMate629: Late post, but i'm about to install a 3.5" drive & your photo helped me on where to put it.

My Pre-assembled build has the fan on the opposite side of the grate your 3.5" HD is attached too (I hope that makes sense)

My only concern is the HDD obstructing the air-flow of the fan, but it can't be too bad..

  • since there's no vantage on the front.

    what is vantage??

from the picture on the web page
it looks like there is 2 mounting areas for the front but it does say for illustration purposes only

    • Ventilation lol autocorrect put ventage which isn't a word (stupid me) to vantage

    • I'm sorry I don't see that. In the third picture you mean? Those are the top no?

      • no the 4th picture…..the only one that you can see the interior

its not very clear as its black on black on a very pixelated picture if you zoom ….. i can see what looks like a bracket point but cant really be sure

probably best you take a better picture with good lighting!

        • Yeah there's a bracket point there, but the holes aren't actually the correct distance (120mm fit), plus there is barely any ventilation in order for the front fan to intake, so it would be almost useless. I have my hard drive mounted there for the time being as well, since god knows where the drive bays are in this (profanity) shit case.

          • @OzBMate629: shrugs im out of ideas than

you are right….doesnt look like there is much ventilation
the only real ventilation i can see if the top/bottom grate looking thing
Doesnt look like there is much space up in there with the RGB lighting in the way

hope you didn't pay too much for it….as if it was RRP i would of spent the extra 20-30 on something better

            • @humdingaling: Na it was just the case given with a bunch of parts for pretty cheap tbh. Yeah I'm probably gonna get a new case anyways, this thing has been a nightmare to work with.

  • Did you end up getting any of the parts in? I just ordered the same case as you in a recent techfast deal but trying to work out whether I can fit an extra 2.5” and 3.5” hard drive (in addition to the 2.5” SATA SSD it comes with), and an m.2 NVMe drive too. I seem to have accumulated a few storage drives over the years and not sure what additional cables I’ll need to buy to fit inside the Techfast Leaper pro case.

    • I just bought one build with the same case and thinking maybe i should pay a few bucks more and upgrade to something better.
      What do you think?

      • +1

        I would.
