LG G6 from the U.S.?

Howdy,

I've noticed a heap of LG G6's on EBAY, unlocked sent from the U.S. Will these work OK here is Aus if if I put my Telstra SIM in one? (warranty issues aside of course)

I like the G6 because it features APTx HD and would hopefully be an improvement in BT streaming over the Moto G5.

(Edit. Stupid me was looking at the U.S. ebay site. But there are some refurbed ones on Aus EBAY for around the $300 mark if any has any comments/tips? Cheers)

(More edit: Actually this one looks good https://tinyurl.com/y7k7vxt3 and the store has a good rep. https://www.productreview.com.au/p/certified-tech-direct.htm… Any objections?)

Hello I bought a LG G6 on ebay from the US 6 months ago and it was unlocked however it was set up to AT&T and apparently they had blocked the MMS functionality and the ability to do hotspot. Everything else was fine but for me that was a deal breaker. I enquired with the vendor and they told me it was my local sim card but when I put the simcard in another phone, the hotspot and mms were available so I sent it back and got a refund.

    Be careful

  • Im not sure but read up a bit https://www.whistleout.com.au/MobilePhones/Guides/Can-I-take…
i think that they will work if its on gsm which it says at&t and tmobile use gsm, but then they talk about bands aswell.
Its probably best you just buy from the aus one you listed, although i hate all refurb tech items i love my g6 and id recommend getting it.
