Can Anyone Recommend Me a Pedestal Fan?

I wanted to get the kogan dc premium but it's out of stock!

Currently we have a few moretti tower fans and they suck! All the tower fans I've used haven't worked great.

Does anyone know of any good offers on fans that will blow me away?
No pun intended

I've heard dc are the best, all I care about is it looks good it is powerful and it is quiet

The kogan premium sounds perfect but no stock!

Budget $80

Thanks

What's wrong with the other Kogan one?

    Doesn't seem sold out?

Yeah, but the other Kogan one which is also DC motor is still available and honestly also fits OP's requirements that I can see ("looks good" being subjective I guess).

        • My bad, missed the word other…

          • @John Kimble: Haha no worries. I'm actually tempted to get one too now - that's really cheap for a DC fan…

    • Awesome! Does anyone have experience with this? What's the difference between the two

      • I have them both, and the sunbeam FA8900 mentioned below. They're all pretty good tbh, but not perfect. If I was on a budget buying again, Kogan standard. If I had time to wait for sale, Kogan premium maybe. The standard one is really good for the price. Super light, super stable. 4 speeds. Can mute the beeps. Remote isn't great at hitting the target but it does work. Not sure if it's mine or general build quality, but it does make a click when turning back on oscillate. Hasn't been a deal breaker for me.

The thing I like about these fans is they're super quiet (not silent). The extra blades help push more air at a lower speed, the motor is quiet and uses less power. I have the premium pointed at me all night. Can feel the air on the lowest setting (1) from 2 meters. Premium settings go up to 26 btw, it's pretty cool.

Don't forget to compare prices across Kogan, dicks, and tandy! They're the same outfit.

    • This doubled in price and the woolworths one sold out

    • This is the one I have. Does a great job

  • I have a few pedestal fans which are combination of very expensive and very cheap ones. The most expensive fan I have was given to me by my Mum and is a Dyson bladeless fan like this one (RRP=$569):

The cheapest fan I have is a Lectro pedestal fan I bought at bunnings for $12.90:

I honestly can't tell the difference in terms of performance between them. The Dyson fan does look better, but that is about it. I don't think it is any quieter either, despite advertising that it is. I only have the Dyson fan because it was given to me. I would never buy it myself.

Came from $15 fan, I've never turned this one to 2nd speed. However, it can get a bit loud.

I’ve got the El Cheapo Kmart one. Thing will not die. Been used in the shed. In the roof. Splashed it with oil. Been covered in saw dust. It’s not the best fan in the world in terms of coverage and power, but I’d def buy another one based on how reliable it’s been.

  • the best fan is a Sunbeam FA8900
