  • what's the deal with these 3d cameras? does the jpg look 3d on the computer?

  • About a month ago I heard on a tech podcast that printer companies are working on 3D bubblejet printers. Uses a liquid plastic or metal to form a 3D object.

    • Yeah we had a 3d printer back in my high school (2006-7ish). It literally gets a block of very moldable plastic(?) and somehow (idk lasers perhaps?) cuts the block into any sculpture you want. People made unicorns, cars, whatever… and this was 5 years ago in a high school. I bet a home version of that would be sweet.

      • I doubt these home printers are meant for home use :P or at least not for mass consumption. When I was speaking to the sales people at HN about the 3d cameras he said they'll be getting lenticular printers in soon. The fact its soon, doesn't make me want to jump out and get one right now. Sweet for viewing on the 3dtv but for any printing its pretty useless until then. good thing you can set it on normal.

love to get a hold of one of those 8gb usb tho

I'm going back to high School
where exactly was your school again?
        3D printers..lol I don't think we have any in my Uni(ANU)

      • you sure it was a cutting process and not additive? That i imagine is different to what a 3d camera would use. What you are describing sounds like something for rapid prototyping CAD models rather than 3d photo image printing.

Would be nice to get a scan of this flyer. Went to my local HN (in country Vic) and they had no idea of any such prices. The Fuji W3 camera was $288 and that was also their final price for it. Would've bought it for the $198.

    • Okay, I will try to scan, and copy and paste the deals posted onto one picture. =) (wish me luck, i have never uploaded any pictures onto this site)

  • just came back from HN at QV in Melb CBD.

They only have Lexar 8G USB on sale at $8,rather than Toshiba.

    • Same here. But Lexar 8Gb is quite a deal. Usually $10 elsewhere.

      • Lexar slower than Toshiba

Thanks for the upload of the scan.

  • B&W Fuji Xerox laser printer for $48 !! Interesting. :-)

HN Adelaide has no 8GB Toshiba or Lexar USB sticks for $8, the cheapest they offered me was $16, NOT impressed.

    • Maybe this was not for interstate, as I am in VIC and this flyer does only note HNs in Vic at the back.

      • No sale at local HN in NSW. Thx though.

        • Well, I went to my local HN in country VIC and they had no idea of any flyers. Wish I had had a physical copy of it from somewhere.

don't waste your time, no luck at nunawading and chadstone.

    • No luck for which items?

Well, if HN denies of any flyers, they're saying I'm lying even when I have the printed flyer in my hands. SHAMEFUL marketing, for once give the consumers a fair go, and sell it for what your own company advertises! For goodness sake its AUSTRALIA, shame on HN!!! In return of all of their inflated profits they make on other items (i.e dyson bladeless fans, dyson vaccums) they should at least stop skinning and mincing their consumers! Also, stop making gimmick TODAY Tonight advertisements saying 'We support consumers, and save them cash' I'd rather save the cents by turning off the tv (more than I'll ever save at HN); your still blantantly ripping us off still and denying the facts! Not happy GERRY and your so-called 'trained' customer assistants! Change your method of making profits, as more and more aussies will soon realise what your really doing, and we aren't happy!

  • Well done, TScott. In the words of Paul Keating: "It is the maddies that get things done".
