Gillette Sensor 3 Disposable Razor 4 Pack $2.49, 8 Pack $5.74 @ Coles

3014

Coles has half price on some Gilette razors. I have used the sensor 3 earlier and found it to be quite good.

    So many angry manbabies.

Oh wait, I thought it was feminists who overreact to everything?

    It’s just an ad, geez.

This looks like a good bargain!

Hard to believe that so many men get heir panties in a twist because they’re encouraged to be their best.

Keep on being your worst then.

      It's https://twitter.com/signe_blake/status/1085351605111787525 all over again:

men: women are too emotional to be CEOs & world leaders! screw those special snowflakes & their sensitive bs! stop being so offended by everything!

Gillette: releases an ad about toxic masculinity

      men: (this thread)

      Agreed entirely.

My views on this are best summed up by an Adelaide-based writer who posted this on their Twitter account yesterday:

“The comments under the @Gillette toxic masculinity ad is a living document of how desperately society needs things like the Gillette toxic masculinity ad.

Seriously: if your masculinity is THAT threatened by an ad that says we [as a society can] be nicer, then you're doing masculinity wrong.”

Women complaining about men complaining about an ad for a shaving company made by a woman….

I think it's the context of everything else in society today. White males are made to feel guilty for everything that happens and everyone is outraged at everything that group does, no matter how well intentioned. So then when the same people are then doing it back, it's hypocritical of them and so it's considered fair to evaluate this ad based on the criteria that all of the others are evaluated.

Ask yourself this, what would happen if instead of "toxic masculinity" it was "toxic blackness" showing black people commiting robberies and saying it's time black people did better than this. Imagine the outrage. Pointing out how it's only ok to say negative things about 1 group out of all groups in the world is a fair point to make. If it ends up being that both meet in the middle somewhat, that'd be a good thing.

What about cynicism over the intentions of a Multinational's Marketing Department. Since when do we start taking Moral Guidance from the VP of Marketing and their Ad Agency. Shameless hollow Virtue Seeking hoping the sheep will gobble up their message, overlook all of the other Bad Stuff Proctor & Gamble has done over the years and buy their Razors.

This is not a community service, its an attempt to sell razors. Anything valuable in here should be second nature to most men. I'm already more than a good enough man to exceed any of the values Gillette wants to advertise. My dad taught me more that Gillette over 30 years ago. I'm comfortable with who I am already and i dont take moral guidance from a Razor company!

Furthermore, anybody saying that people with issues about the advert are crybaby Snowflakes should probably re-watch it because I think the target audience for the message is you!

Do you reckon it's actually a covert operation by Trump supporters?

      • WOW run that by the US papers, if they havent thought of it already it will be tomorrow's lead story!!!

Gillete-gate is the successor to Gamergate?

How not to advertise your product…

  • Frustrating that my neg vote is against Coles and not Gillette and P&G since they are the scum here.
