He should probably boil it first then filter it.
My other thought is you haven’t given any context or even what he is hoping to achieve.
It’s like saying my friend is thinking of replacing the rear left tire with a r15. Thoughts?
It might be a good move if all the other tires are r15 and this one isn’t, or a very bad idea if it is a Smart car, who can say?
