Sweet, time to stock up on cycling knicks

    • is 'knicks' short for knickers?

      • -1

Can't say I've given it much thought but I assume so

        • rebel isn't a good place to stock up on cycling knicks

          • @first in line: I've got Cube, Bontrager x3 and Castelli shorts and I have found the Netti shorts Rebel sell to be the most comfortable… Obviously ymmv but they work for me

  • Hi
The start time. Is that 5pm Wednesday Sydney time (just checking for wa time)

  • I assume that prices will be changed at that time on Wednesday? Just trying to calculate a few things to buy.

    • +1

Yep, prices will be live from 5pm Wednesday

Best time to buy Galaxy watch

buy Rebel gift cards in advance from Entertainment book to score an initial 10% discount. Total 28% discount.

    • Any way of doing it without a current entertainment book subscription (gold member)?

    • Lumo ameego as well, if you are a member

    • Anyone had experience with timeframes on this? it says "Please allow up to 2 business days for generation of rebel eGift Cards to your email address." wouldn't want to get stuck with the cards after the sale ends.

      • +1

i did mine last night and got them instantly

        • Thanks but now it is saying "Due to popularity, we have sold out! Please check back soon." My dad always used to say "He who hesitates loses"

          • +1

@Aliandmike: what a joke, how can they sell out of digital vouchers?

  • Wondering if this would stack with the current catalogue sale ?

  • any exclusions?
other than the mentioned items marked below 20% already

    • Website says:
      - This offer excludes products already discounted greater than 20%.
      - This offer is not available on the purchase of Gift Cards or eGift Cards.
      - The 20% discount will not be applied to freight charges, handling or installation fees. No Rainchecks.

However, I noticed that a lot of items do not have discount applied.
Looks like some categories have discount on all items, and some on just a few.

This is too much work, I give up :(

  • -1

Says excludes products already discounted greater than 20%. But will prices that currently have a 20% discount be further discounted by 20%?

  • cashrewards is 3.5% atm…. wonder if its still valid

  • Thanks OP!

  • +2

Shopback increased to 7.5% and Cashrewards to 5.2%. Don't forget em

    • they stack?

      • Note that Shopback states for the Rebel cashback:

        Cashback is not qualified for:
Usage of Gift cards to make purchases or gift card purchases will not qualify for Cashback unless otherwise stated

        and CashRewards similarly states:

You may not be eligible for Cashback:
If a gift card is purchased or used as payment.

So it "may" not work double dipping

      • I don't think they do but just stated both to let folks know what each is offering.

      • Used two gift cards and my sale tracked with Cashrewards.

    • Damn…totally forgot to check if they are on CashRewards. I don't run their plugin in my regular browser, because it kills it, otherwise it would remind me.

  • +2

Be sure to check prices. Before 5pm the Garmin Forerunner was $229 now it is 20% off the RRP making it $372.50

    • +1

I sent Rebel an email They couldnt explain the price issue but are sending me a coupon code so I can still buy it at $229.

      Great service

      • Just did the same thing ! called them though…waiting on the coupon now.

        • That will be an error. Its minimum 20% so if it's lower than that already it will remain at that. 235's are $229 until 31/1 at this stage

  • -3

Won't be buying anything from them online, just checked their returns policy and it's only if your shoes are faulty and not change of mind.

    Pretty dumb.

    • Why should they offer you change of mind? They don't have to, especially shoes… eeewww

      • -3

It's not just shoes, for any product they have.

They don't have to, that's fine but they won't get any business from me when there are plenty of online stores that offer it these days.

        • Not sure why the people negging you think it's so strange for one to expect change of mind returns, particularly for a big store like rebel. Especially for shoes, it's hard to be sure about what size will fit unless you've owned another pair from that specific line. Also, sometimes it looks different in real life vs on the website.

The Iconic, ASOS, Nike, Converse, Myer and DJs all have change of mind returns, just to name a few. I too think it's pretty dumb that rebel doesn't. At least this sale is also in store.

          • @ascorbic: exactly…Probably just rebel employees downvoting

          • @ascorbic: They aren't obliged to have change of mind returns. I'd never buy sneakers online, simply as I'd wanna try them on.

            • @scuderiarmani: Nobody is saying anybody is obliged to. We are simply saying there are plenty of competitors that do (The Iconic, ASOS, Nike, Converse, Myer and DJs etc).

And as I've already stated, it's not just limited to shoes but everything on Rebel.

Whether you'd buy shoes online is irrelevant here, nobody cares. Others buy it online, try them on and return them if it doesn't fit. Exact same thing as going to store and trying them on, even Nike official stores allow change of mind returns.

    • +1

Lol pretty much every store says that as a disclaimer. And it's right as well, they aren't legally obliged to process a change of mind refund.

      • No it doesn't…

A lot of stores I buy from can return for change of mind… Myer and The Iconic come to mind

        • Your point? They aren't obliged to.

          • @scuderiarmani: I thought my point was clear? That a lot of stores allow change of mind refunds unlike what the commenter i replied to said (The Iconic, ASOS, Nike, Converse, Myer and DJs etc).

What is your point? I never said they were obliged to, i clearly said "They don't have to, that's fine but they won't get any business from me".

    Any bargains?

    • -3

      No

  • Just bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch 42mm 4G for $395 ($599 RRP) using egift cards and Shopback

    • +1

Note that Shopback states for the Rebel cashback:

      Cashback is not qualified for:
Usage of Gift cards to make purchases or gift card purchases will not qualify for Cashback unless otherwise stated

      and CashRewards similarly states:

You may not be eligible for Cashback:
If a gift card is purchased or used as payment.

So it "may" not work double dipping

FYI I also made a purchase just now using Shopback and (discounted) Gift card - so also hoping it might work (but not counting on it)

  • Lucky the prices here are already marked at least RRP, meaning no genuine discount.

  • Can anyone recommend some good mens running show that provide some arch support. Currently have mizuno waver ride 20

    Well something's screwed up.

Celsius 50kg weight set $199.99 marked down to $139.99. add to cart and it costs $159.99.

    • +1

Yup. Same for a pair of shoes i was looking at. Went up $15 in the cart.

  • Unless I am losing the plot, I cannot even see some items on the site, for example, Fitbit Versa's/Ionic.
Edit: Ok, so it shows when search for it, but not where I would have expected it to be.
Edit 2: Now I cannot find it at all. Weird.

  • Discount was better a few weeks ago (at least for item I bought). Got a Crazy Catch Scotopia for $120 delivered (not including the $9 Shopback, still pending validation).
    Normal price $200.
$160 under current 20% off sale)

  • Damn forgot to use Cashrewards…

  • 7.5% at CashBack. 5% at Cash Rewards.

  • Anyone else have issues with the gift cards?
I applied two gift cards, one got redeemed and the other one has the full balance, but my order didn't go through. I've tried multiple times to reapply the gift cards but I keep getting owned by the reCAPTCHA box. When ever I click it, it removes my gift card.

I've sent them a message through their website, so hopefully they fix it up for me.
