Wii U software and hardware are completely removed from the EBGames website, every link will now just bring up an error.
Has anyone seen Wii U items in store? may be sales happening due to this dropping from the site.
UPDATE: EBGames have specified it was a website issue and now Wii U products are back up.
I feel this is completely out of nowhere, they still carry Wii products but they have completely deleted the entire Wii U line, including consoles, games, controllers and accessories.
I know it never really took off but to be completely killed like this is crazy to me!
The Wii outsold the Wii U nearly 10:1 and most people that are casual gamers didn’t even realise it was a seperate console. It was a massive flop and is pretty much a niche system. Most of the quality Wii U games have now been ported over to Switch so the market is really starting to dry up.
Indeed. The Wii and Wii U are chalk and cheese in terms of success. The Wii U was not the revolutionary product that the Wii was. In terms of market, there are probably still more buyers for Wii games than Wii U games.
@tanksinatra: Yes but even still the Wii U lines up with the Xbone and PS4 in generation of console, the other two are still current Gen and the Wii U has become a deleted line, you would think a specialist game store would be the marketplace for Wii U gaming.
I was hoping EB would start doing the opposite and follow the Gamestop mould of making older games and systems more available to the public but deleting a whole console from their online system just one generation after is a huge misstep.

Ebgames still stock Wii, so they should be staying, we could be seeing Wii U stock clearanced out from now on though as it seems to be a deleted Line.
It'll be interesting to see any impact the potential buyout of Gamestop in the US has on EBGames here. I believe they are the parent company.
Not sure if you are the same person who asked about it on Facebook. But in case it wasn't it was just a website issue. All pages seem to be back to normal.

Had to be coming at some point. I was in one this afternoon and there wasn’t any significant discounting on Wii U other than the buy one get one free sale that’s going on. There wasn’t any real bargains to be had.
