LG 2019 Model OLED’s (B9, C9, E9, W9, Z9) Discussion Thread

LG has unveiled its 2019 4K OLED TV line-up comprising C9, E9, and W9 with 4K resolution, and Z9 with 8K resolution. The TVs come with HDMI 2.1, improved gaming performance with VRR, an upgraded video processor, webOS updates, and ”AI”. Reported to have 13ms input lag on the 4K models, which is great, and Game Mode can be calibrated now.

Some uploads that contain great information from Vincent from HDTVTest regarding the latest 2019 LG line up. I’ll post them in order,

What do you guys think? I might make the switch from Samsung over to OLED this year. I’ve had so many issues with Samsung panels and replaced nearly 10 panels before I had enough. But that’s a discussion for another day. But I thought it would be a good idea to get a discussion going on 2019’s latest LG TVs.

    13ms input lag - I'm in.

    I'll jump in when ~$3.5k for 65'

Incase anyone is wondering, the current outgoing C8 is 21.1ms real time tested. My TV is 25, on paper spec and reactional perfect shielding is mathematically impossible.

    • Yep that's what I am planning on doing but for the E9. I was going to get the E8 65" but I'll be happy to wait until at least Q3 before I pull the trigger. But it is definitely on the list. Of course I will wait until real world reviews are present before I make a final decision. 13ms input lag is actually going to be excellent. For once TV manufacturers are starting wake up in that regard, and also with variable refresh rate & (ALLM) auto low latency mode support for consoles coming to mainstream it's going to be a game changer. So LG are ahead of the competition so far.

  • My TV is a 50” LCD from >5 years ago. Was going to upgrade to the 55” C8, but as CES was just around the corner, waited it out.
Will definitely pick up a C9 when the price is reasonable (saw some C8s go for ~$2k at the end of last year).

    • Or a C8 at clearance.

      • Not a bad thought but a few features I am keen on are exclusive to the C9.

  • When do you think release will be for the C9? I read one review that it'll be available in Spring (assuming US weather March-May).

Do we know when the C8 was released?

I read the C9 should come March-April on forums.

  • Wonder if we could just buy the panels or just the bar for the W series if it broke down. Would be really nice.

  • I jumped in the oled pool yesterday, had a 55" E9 delivered today, paid $3,048 with priority same day delivery (tv was 2,999) Its absolutely the cheapest I have seen so far for a brand new E9 unit but correct me if im wrong. I purchased from Buy Smarte. They actually had the C9 listed at 2,499 last week for a couple days. Prior to that I purchased the C9 55" from Jb HiFi who price matched it to Buy Smarte who had it at 2,695. Thought that was a sweet deal, especially because i had actually confused the C9 with the E9 and thought that was what i had purchased, anyway long story short i didnt pick up the C9 I refunded and bought E9 from buy smarte (Jb doesnt carry the E9)

Now its sitting in the box in the living room, as i prepare my space, im trying not to look at it and just rip the box open and have sexy time with it. lol ,, joke joke.. seriously though, it looks big to me, im upgrading from a Samsung 49" butttttt i cant say i dont have a little voice in my head saying "pay more get the 65" do it, dont think, just do…" Haha, Im going to unbox this badboy this evening, oh god my mouth is watering.

    Has anyone bought one yet?
