Xiaomi Redmi 6 OR Xiaomi Redmi Note4?

Hi ,
Which one to get for my 11 year old son?
Narrowed it down to:
XIAOMI redmi 6 (less battery capacity, newer model, anything else better/worse? currently about 12$ cheaper at ebay than Note 4)
XIAOMI redmi Note 4 (which I have and am quite happy with. Better battery, older model. Anything else better/worse)

Both below 200 at ebay for 32GB, 3GB. I don't mid the $12 price difference if the Note 4 is the better phone.

    I have the redmi6 and gave my note 4 to a family member. I still prefer the note 4 mainly for the battery capacity. The Note 4 I would only need to charge at work while the redmi 6 I have to charge at work and at home as well if I want to keep it above the 20% level.

      Thanks. And do they perform differently? I think redmi 6 has a newer android version?

        I don't play games but the note 4 does lag on super high res vids which don't on the redmi 6. Otherwise feels the same.

    Might be too late into this, I had a Redmi Note 4x and I loved it. It's much better than Redmi 6 since it's a better chip and you can flash a custom ROM in there as well. Also got major Dev support at XDA, so that phone will last for a few more years, considering it came in 2017.

    Xiaomi Mi 6 has better processor (835) than Note 4 (625), dual camera and slightly better PPI density. Both are great devices but Mi 6 is better than Note 4.

      Its Redmi 6, not Mi 6.
