I've just been invited to Amazon Vine, I'd actually never heard of this program before but after doing some googling it appears Amazon run's an internal review program where companies can choose to supply thier goods to trusted Amazon reviewers in exchange for a review.
Seems pretty cool, is anyone else on here an Amazon Vine member and can detail their experience with it?
If you don't mind me asking how many reviews have you done and when?
Only about 15 actually, I've done them fairly well spread out from the time Amazon launched in Australia till now.

It seems you can also leave reviews on products you didn't purchase on Amazon so now I'm reviewing everything I can :)
Appears new for Australia/just launched, got my email because I am top Amazon fanboy (or girl?).

Over 100. I think though reading on Vine US it's also based on helpful reviews, can't just put "great product" on everything : ).

Ah cool, someone else! Yes it does seem new for Australia from what I can gather. When googling it seems other "viners" receive a list of items they can chose to review? It doesn't seem we have that option? Or maybe it takes a while to update your account I don't know, but nothing has changed when I login to my amazon account and in the original email it states "we will contact you when we a product becomes available for you to review" so it seems it's a lot more limited in it's scope in Australia so far.
Still exciting and will be interesting to see where it heads :)
What sort of reviews do you leave? The 'Its shiny and goes so well with my other appliances' kind or the 'I took it appart and it features a T707 cpu mainframe with a 50mhz school bus and the attached storage is a WD fluckery 2 giblets with a smarty interface' kind

Nothing out of the ordinary, just a quick review, some are one sentence, some are 3 or 4 sentences.
No I don't go taking things apart to review them, just a review based on how the average person would use the item or what I know I'd like to know about an item before buying it.

See thats where I go wrong. I try and go into the sort of detail I would want, and regular people don't seem to like knowing how the sausage gets made.

I dont drink vine.
Have been part of this program since November last year.
They send you goods (sellers) and you have to leave an honest review
It’s only third party seller items that are sent to you, not sold by amazon ones.
It’s pretty good but so far have mostly gotten USB hubs and headphones lol.
Cool, so how do they notify you when you are going to be sent something?
As I said it a previous post it seems the US version people get a list they just pick from basically but is the Australian version different?
I had reviews about 20 things prior to be asked to join.
I don't get a list, I do however get an "offer" which lets me know what Is to be sent and I can decline if it is not something I would use (I always say yes) and I get to keep the item afterwards
I think the fact that its new in Aus means 20 is enough reviews for an invite, but I also am a prime member and spend money on amazon maybe 1-2 times a week I am not sure if that had anything to do with it.
Cool I just did 10 reviews then hit my limit.
In the US version, we can access it by going to the orders in our account. One of the headings will be Vine requests.
Below that will tell us all the items we have ordered from Vine in the past as well as our Vine Queue and Vine for all.
They have not emailed lists in years. Amazon Vine does not send you to any off site pages.

damn i started leaving reviews at the start for this very reason, but then got slack and didn't leave many . Wish i had continued.
You should be able to find any legitimate Vine correspondence in the messages in your account. We were all really excited to hear about Vine Australia because bigger and better!
There were many people in the US who were scammed into thinking they were in Vine when it was actually a scummy outfit called Amazon Review Trader. I hope he hasn't just found a new group of people.
Hey Brad. Just wondering if you've heard any update since they shut the Vine AU program down. I assume everyone got the Starbursts + other lollies as a 'reward' for joining Vine.
I did my review for one of my claimed products, but was informed that the program was formally closed later. No news since then.
