Where to Buy Prescription Glasses (Prescribed Multifocal)

So I went into Specsavers like every single other year but this year I went without my parents I'm a big kid now! But instead of being prescribed single vision lenses and getting it covered under HBF I was told I needed Multifocal glasses with transitions for $249 (The most premium stuff) after my HBF no gap policy. So I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could use my prescription to get the glasses for cheaper? I would also prefer sunglasses and the other glasses separate instead of transmission. I currently know Zenni is the cheapest but was wondering where I could purchase them on our shores for a similair price (or even covered under HBF.) Thanks for any help.

Tl;DR: Eye sight got worse need Multifocal but Broke Student. Wondering cheapest option.

    • 40% off first order as well for lenses and frames.
Go for stainless steel or titanium frames

Ok thanks mate I'm going with these guys.

  • Zenni

  • I assume you mean Transitions™ lenses?

    • Yeah

they are never necessary, just an extra add on

  • Just note that those optometrists are pretty coy with handing over their prescription so you can take it to an online shop. For my daughters they pretty much refused to give me the full specifications just a very basic script.

Ended up having to take a sneaky camera phone pic…

They cannot do that. The test was paid for by Medicare and belongs to the patient.

OPSM even put your prescription up on their website if you have an account, with the exception of PD.

  • Clearly is a good option.
    Visiondirect is also ok.
