Dental implant looming (just one tooth) and reading some previous forum posts there's mention of shopping around for a better price than what the local dentist quotes.
How much did you pay, and can you recommend any Melbourne based dentists? I guess we'd be willing to travel within Australia if it was a significant saving (travel overseas not an option). Thanks in advance.

I did some calls around, we've ended up going with City Smiles, specifically Dr Wesley. They were so knowledgeable on the phone, and Dr Wesley put my very anxious husband at ease.

The only extra/variable cost (I think) is if you have a temporary plate/fake tooth between the extraction and implant time.
Thank you again for you advice. I am inclined to go with your advice and call Dr Nguyen. The cost I hope is around $2800 as I will have to save up for that. I hope all goes well and the implant does not give me any issues.
