  As always ensure you are comfortable with the permissions you are giving these "Free" apps and you trust the company enough that makes them.
  Buff Knight for example requires access to the internet and your contacts and according to reviews crashes if you block it from doing so.
  Applock - Fingerprint Pro by its nature requires some very powerful device permissions giving it a high degree of control over your phone.

    Or if you are running LineageOS or another Android version that supports PrivacyGuard or some similar tool, use that to block the app's access to things you don't trust it having access to…

      This I would highly recommend when you can if supported by your device.
      One thing to note of course is some apps will crash (Buff Knight for example with access to contacts) or not function at all if you block certain permissions as they are actually needed to run the actual app in the case of Fingerprint Pro.
