I have played it for about 4 hours and so far the game is a true survival horror game with modern graphics very impressed.
I think there will be a RE2: Gold Edition in a few months time. :/
Not really. The only DLC announced so far is a few skins, then the extra Ghost mode is free.
I hope you're right! Going to wait for more announcements and a few months before buying this (and the usually price drops).
Such a fresh change to play a game on the highest difficulty where you need to manually save which means surviving the boss and making it to a save point rather than it auto saving every 5 minutes. But I’m well versed in the original so are playing strategically. Only thing I don’t like is the resurrection of bullet sponge zombies. It’s absurd how fast they resurrect, in the original it at least gave you a few chances to revisit a room, before the resurrection. I shot a zombie in the head 6 times, then 2 seconds later they resurrected… Way too easy to run out of ammo.
how can I deal with this on the hardest if its a first playthrough (never played the original and I don't like easy or normal)

This version doesn’t have the dlc which swaps the music to the original, which I would recommend if you are a purist. The new music does not have the same feel.
This game released when I was 10 or so, and I crapped myself so many times and I remembered I cried.
